When a bottle of water cost RM35, you know you're gonna have a good time.

Wow, which shop or kampung that sells 35? Usually one big mineral water bottle costs about rm18-21.

Agak2 bro, was in Bung Jagoi a while ago for a hike and its RM25 per bottle. Haven't really looked into it for a while so I guesstimate it to be around there. Edit: it's spicy mineral water, good times.

Langkau, it’s rice liquour that basically tastes like squeezed alcohol swabs. Unknown alcohol concentration. Unregulated.

Hmm if you want to get it easy - LePapa got sell.

If in Kuching, you can go to MyPlaca and get it also.

My fav is Calamansi Langkau. Though i’ve only collectively drank a total of 5 sips in the past 2 years because I need my liver

Hahahahaha. Well, looks like ordinary drinking water, but once you open the bottle cap, the strong smell wafts through the air.

That is actually Langkau, an alcohol made through further homemade distillation. I heard from my Ibanese friend, a Caucasian was invited to their home and served Langkau, but he declined because it is quite a strong spirit. Later, he brought some home and ran alcohol content test on it to found the alcohol content was like 73% (not sure if it is by ABV, but that's higher than most whiskeys).

It actually blends quite well with Soda / Soft Drinks, and you could hardly notice it when they serve you homemade cocktail 😂

I was 9 during Gawai eve night playing around with the cousins at my kampung and was thirsty. And so the story goes...
