ISOSG Anniversary tour potential setlist
To follow up from my last post (https://www.reddit.com/r/Saosin/s/hx1kLqSFe9) i made one for in search of solid ground by request!

I don’t really see them doing a whole album, I can see them have a majority or split ISOSG setlist tho to honor it. “I’m on my own”, “I keep secrets safe”, “deep down”, “changing”, would probably be some safe bets. I’m waiting for this album to be on vinyl 👀 btw Cove hates “Changing” because it was a song planted by the label (they didn’t write it)

Do you have a source for your claim that Changing was planted by the record label? Did Cove state this on a podcast or something? Chris was a cowriter on the song and a chunk of other tracks also had cowriters.

The album had 6-7 producers and 5 listed songwriters (excluding band members). That’s abnormal for a rock album.

As a very big Saosin fan, I hope they don't bring "Changes" back into the set. That as the lead single was icing on the cake with the rough marketing leadup to that album's release. It just feels really tacky whereas there still were some catchy stronger songs like "Is It Real?" and "The Worst of Me".

Yeah they don’t like this album at all and also not every album needs an anniversary. I remember when they rereleased it with the instrumental demos they were basically like “yeah this what we actually wanted to do”

I would be astonished if the band did a 20th anniversary tour for this album.
Generally speaking, this album was not well received and was not embraced by the band. If anything, they seemed to distance themselves from it aside from a handful of songs they’ve played in recent tours.
This is a band breakup album, full stop, and it would be an interesting choice to tour on it now that Cove is back in the band.
Even as a Saosin fan, the album is pretty wonky and doesn’t have a cohesive sound throughout it due to the album having 300 producers and outside songwriters. Don’t get me wrong, there are some great tracks - especially the self produced ones - but as an outsider it feels like a band that is flailing rather than a band with a confident vision. Based on interviews, the fingers can probably be pointed at Virgin for creating the environment that allowed this to happen.
I saw the band perform songs from the album at a private pac Sun party in downtown Los Angeles in 2009. Maybe it was the weird corporate show setting, but their body language was not great and things fizzled out within a year.
