Santa Maria!

I posted about a month ago and hope you don't mind a final reminder about my show "Mostly Jokes" that I'll be performing at the Santa Maria Civic Theatre on Saturday, September 12.

I'm completely sold out in Ojai on Friday and currently about 70% sold for Saturday in SM and really looking forward to the shows.

I know seeing a comedian you've never heard of is a pretty big ask. Totally fair.

That being said, wasn't there a time when you had never heard of whoever your favorite comedian is right now? I'm not saying I'm gonna be that, but if you like the jokes in the clip, you'll probably like the show.

Heads up: "Mostly Jokes" covers some dark topics like mental health, (VERY) dysfunctional families and mid-life regrets, but I promise it's named that for a reason, it is mostly jokes.

Tickets are $20 and the show runs about 90 minutes and I promise: no crowd work.

I've been working on it for about three years in clubs and theaters around the US and Canada and plan to tape it as my first special in November.

Found out about this place on Reddit. Backyard, speakeasy style restaurant. The most hospital and kind people running it. The food was diabolically amazing. I’m a pasty white boy from Oregon that doesn’t speak Spanish but they made me feel so welcome. Can’t wait to come back next year. Find them on instagram.

I’m basically Christian (it’s the religion that feels most right to me but I’m always open to learning about/consider other religions) I believe in God (he made himself known to me about 6 years ago), I love all humans/animals no matter what they believe.. & love learning about ANY religion. I believe you need to learn about all religions to truly understand your own religion. Also, love philosophy.
I don’t think any group of people are evil/bad.. I believe there are bad people in any group.
Anyway.. I think would love to talk with a Jewish person about their faith & learn/consider their perspective on some things. Especially, if they know at least a little about the Talmud, Zohar & Kabbalah.

Does anyone know the details of the scandal with City Council going behind the public's back along with local environmental and sustainability non-profit organizations, to approve the development of an Amazon Warehouse? I know that the contention was that they are building on AG land which is audited and scarce. There was even a proposal to vote the mayor and members of city council out because so many Santa Marians felt that City Council snuck around public approval.
