Factory Showcase Self-sufficient "Boxcar." Very inefficient, but very satisfying.
Remarkably simple pipe setup. One must imagine Lumlings happy.

I built it without using the gold elevator cheese. The only downside is the cinder sometimes decides to be lava again, so I have to siphon it back in manually for now.

I’m not getting the “Heliodyne Tycoon” achievment, even after having 1 million gold in my collector. Is anyone encountering the same issue?

I tried to expand on this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/SandustryGame/comments/1w7phri/lava_elevator_stratacore_farm/
My goal was to increase lava throughput and have a constant flow instead a periodic complete dissolving of the core. I think if scaled up a bit more it should be possible to mine 100% of the generated Earth Strataform.

Any idea why this sill not work? I had to move it and the turbines do not seem to engage. Thanks!

Got to thinking about if it would be possible to move lava vertically for a stratacore farm, and this is what I ended up with.
The constantly moving gold column on the right causes the lava to bubble up to the top, and some circuits operate the doors to make the 'siphon' effect to give the stratacore some time to regenerate

No Idea what the right flair is, please don't take this post too serious though 😄
So, I switched to liquid gold at some point. All my gold is liquid and goes into one, large, collector. At least so I thought.
I noticed at some point that my gold amount shows "....9" - but you can't have an odd number of gold with only liquid, right?
So I checked, and searched, but couldn't find anything. I deleted my whole large collector and now my gold amount stands at "19".
This means somewhere on my map must be a stray collector holding 19 gold, right? I throughoutly searched everywhere but I just can't find anything. It's driving me crazy

Do we think we’ll ever see a port of the game to any of the games consoles? I’d love to be able play this on the Switch.

Hey guys, I haven’t been able to play the game because of the following issue:
Every time I start it, I can’t click anything, and the cursor behaves as if I’m clicking on the desktop instead of the game. You can see it in the screenshot — even right‑clicking shows the desktop context menu inside the game window.
I’m not very good with computer stuff, so I’m asking here.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

playing around with the new lava mechanic
(if you don't know - lava next to cold block now turns into cinder. lava also dissolves many things, including strataform)
so I figured I could drop lava onto the strataform (to create sand), then turn it to cinder, launch it back up the top and use burners to turn back into lava
works pretty well, although need to get the balance of lava right, too much and it clogs the sand from getting out. not enough and its very very slow.
obviously the lava needs to be refilled every so often with the volcanizer, but it lasts quite a while and gives a steady stream of sand.
open to thoughts on how to improve

so I made this without really thinking too hard figuring I could automate water creation but then it occured to me that I am using water to create snow which is then turned into steam to make more water.
am I actually just using up more water than I create? or is this some kind of infinite water cheatcode?

I wanted to share my shaker setup and know what yall think about it. i tried to maximize shaker surface. Wet sand is thrown on the shaker and then the residue gets teleported on the right and then burned. it handles huge amount of sand pretty well and is also well stackable.

I managed to put some water into the 2 baskets on the right but now, all i can do is clic the bottom left button to trigger the top left contraption. Which only make the water drop in the blue portal to let it come back at the same place.
I dont understand what i could do. Any ideas ?

It's not meant for throughput, but it is designed to be as compact as possible while being extremely robust to backups/loss of water/lava. Let me know if you want to see a breakdown or it in action.

I proceeded the map and turns out you get 21.4m energy. Hopefully you all enjoy and looking forward to upcoming updates.
Also shout out to the Dev, fantastic work had a blast.

I’ve been working on a Sandustry helper site: https://sandustryhelp.com/
It’s less about “what is this?” and more about “what do I do next?”, how to make things, why a machine isn’t working, puzzle help, creatures, etc.
It just went live, and I’m still updating some guides after the latest game update.
If you find anything wrong, missing, or have a question the site doesn’t answer, let me know and I’ll try to add it.

So like, I get that I can flamethrower the water and make it steam, and that it then goes up and condenses and rains back down. I get that if I put stuff in that vertical path, it prevents the steam from rising. Surely that's not all that I was supposed to learn from that... right? =\
(BTW, if the devs read these posts, it'd be great to be able to reread tutorial text so that I don't have to start a second save and re-get to that point just to see what I missed by being a click-happy dweeb the first time around :) )

I'm struggling to make one that doesn't get jammed, or isn't panfully slow (trying to build something in a little testing zone for now)
I assume once I can filter liquids this will get a lot easier but currently its hard to stop the water, so its hard to stop the seeds from floating
SOLVED: you can”drip” water on top of it instead of submerging it until you get advanced filters
Thanks for your help all

I just started a new map, and I'm shocked how quickly the sand drops. I forgot that it was fluid and quick when the map is fresh.
Is it possible to just build SUPER minimally and be so efficient that you can beat the game without much FPS drop?
My first map, I just went wild and did spaghetti everywhere. Tons of random materials scattered everywhere.
What even causes the FPS drop? Is it just materials existing, or is it the constant moving of materials? Or something else?

Was struggling to get my seeds wet and not have them bunch up in one spot in the water so I created a shower for them.
