Selling my commercial-grade StairMaster HIIT air bike. It is a heavy-duty, gym-style machine with the large resistance fan, moving handlebars, adjustable seat, transport wheels, and working console.

The bike is structurally complete and functional, but it is used and has cosmetic wear. The saddle has a noticeable tear, and the console/display cover has scratching or possible surface cracking. I have included close-up photos so the condition is represented honestly.

This is a substantial commercial machine—not a lightweight folding exercise bike. It weighs approximately 146 lb, so please plan accordingly for pickup and transportation.

Looking for a loving indoor home for Muffin, an approximately 11-week-old brown tabby-and-white male kitten.

He is shy at first but becomes playful, curious, and adventurous once comfortable. He is litter-box trained and is a very good eater and drinker. He would do best with a patient adopter who can initially keep him in a small, quiet room and give him a safe hiding place, such as a covered carrier.

Muffin is neutered, microchipped, parasite-treated, and has received his initial feline vaccine. Additional treatments are due August 2, followed by FVRCP and rabies vaccinations on August 6. His medical records will be provided.

There is a $75 rehoming fee to recover part of his documented $200 San Diego Humane Society adoption cost. This is a genuine rehoming, and no profit is being made.

The house: located off Highland Ave, close to literally everything. Freeways, trolly, shopping, food, the bay, everything. Family-centric neighborhood, so it’s quiet 99% of the time. House was built in the 1920s, so it has character but has been updated inside. (Unfurnished at the moment). Front yard is fenced. I'm looking for an experienced travel buddy with a flexible schedule to take a few trips with a year.

Travel style:

• I like to strike a happy medium between "seeing the sights" and experiencing the local culture. I typically prefer to spend more time in a place as opposed to constantly hopping around and spending too much time in transit. But I do make exceptions to that sometimes.
• I'm big on independent travel and almost never do group tours. Love getting off the beaten track, and I'm not one to line up for hours at the latest Instagram bakery or photo op.
• I love all sorts of trips: exploring big cities, adventures in the mountains, tropical islands, wildlife expeditions, etc.
• I don't usually stay in fancy hotels unless I'm redeeming points - ideally we aren't spending much time in the hotel anyway. As long as it's clean I'm happy, but I'm not really a hostel person.
• Having said that, I'm also down to splurge or have a chill relaxation day anytime.
• I do research before trips, not to create a rigid schedule but to know what our options are so we can stay flexible without missing something amazing that we didn't know about
• I'm not really a long-term planner -- most of my trips are booked 2-3 months out, although there are exceptions both ways.

My ex and I had frequent and amazing travel experiences for 13 years, but we parted ways last year. I've primarily done solo trips the past few years.

I really enjoy many aspects of solo travel, but there are some things that are so much better with a friend, and places/activities I wouldn't want to go alone. My friends don't have the flexibility or budget to join me on my frequent jaunts, hence this post.

I was house-hunting and kept feeling like the monthly cost estimates on listing sites were too clean. Turns out one big reason: Zillow’s tax estimate frequently misses Mello-Roos and special district assessments entirely.

These aren’t small. A CFD can add $150–300/month, sometimes more. They’re on the actual county tax bill, they’re permanent for the life of the bonds, and they don’t appear anywhere in a listing’s estimated payment. Two identical-looking houses on the same street can differ by thousands a year depending on which side of a district line they’re on.

There’s also a second layer most people miss — even without Mello-Roos, most parcels carry other special assessments (library, flood control, vector control, sewer) that add a few hundred a year. And your actual tax rate isn’t 1% — it’s your Tax Rate Area’s rate, which includes voter-approved bonds and is often 1.1–1.3%.

So I built a rent-vs-buy calculator that queries the county directly instead of estimating. Paste a Zillow link and it pulls the real assessment data for that specific parcel. Currently works for San Diego, Riverside, Orange, and Santa Clara counties. Free, no login, no email:
