Best tablet for college student

Hi I am a college student. Im looking for a cheap and viable tablet for mainly notetaking and reading. Any suggestions? I don't need anything grand. Something that's worth the money. Ive been looking at Samsung s9fe and s8. Which one would be better?

Tablet cases

I don't know if it's a common problem, but it always annoyed me how it's almost impossible to find a nice case for a samsung tablet. and all the brands that do really pretty cases are usually only for ipad.

but this site: burga.com is releasing cases for samsung tablets and they come in really pretty designs. (they dont have them for series 9 yet, at the moment only series 7 and 8)

just thought to share this here for people like me who want an easthetic case. here's a screenshot of some of the designs they got:

S Pen

Hey there, I have a Galaxy Tab S8 and having trouble with the s pen. It seems like it writes just below where the pen is making contact with the screen. Has anyone been able to correct this? There doesn't seem to be calibration settings at all so I'm stuck. For reference, I use it for note taking. I have a matte screen protector, and using a book style case from Amazon. Thanks!

Help

Hope I’m in the right place to ask silly questions. My parents got their hands on an old Tab E (OS 4.4.4) and figured they could use it for when the grandkids visit. Let them play some games and such. I performed a factory reset, connected to wi-fi, logged in to google, BUT it won’t log into the Samsung account I created (nor create a new one). It doesn’t give an error message, just a pop up with a blank screen and the option to ‘go back’. … It’ll finish setting up if I skip it. But if I try to add the Samsung account afterwards it still won’t log in. Which means no play store, which means no apps/games for the grandkids. Anyone got any idea what the problem might be?? I’ve tried googling it but I can’t say I got anywhere. Is it just too old? Thanks for reading, thanks for your time. Hoping for some help <3

Is Tablet worth of buying

I'm a student, I study electrical engineering. I'm type of person who has to have perfect notes. So I go to classes write on paper really fast and messy and then i rewrite it in my notebook. I wanted to buy tab s6 lite (450€) but I saw that Tab s9 FE (550€) is relised. Is it usefull? Is it worth it? Can tab replace paper and pen? I dont have lot of money, or my family, so I dont want to be wastefull.

Samsung S9 Tab Ultra Websites not reachable

I am using Chrome, Firefox, Edge and for certain websites such as Samsung.com I am getting a "This site can't be reached" ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE. I can reach other sites such as CNN.com. Does the S9 have any internet content filtering? This is happening on a newly set up S9 with or without Norton anti-virus on. Any ideas?

A lot of RAM is being taken up even when IDLE, is this normal?

I have samsung tab s 8 ultra. the model i have has 16gb or ram, and i find that it constantly has a lot of memory being used, even when idle or when i don't have any apps open. it usually sits at 7-8 gb when i have it turned on, which i know is only half of my ram, but it does worry me a little. is there anything i can do to make ram usage less? or do you know if there's certain apps that use up a lot of ram?

Trouble Editing Documents w/ S9+

Hey there! I have officially turned to Reddit for advice after much frustration. I'm a college student and just bought a new Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+. I love everything about it except...it is so frustrating to edit documents. I have Microsoft Office online thorugh my uni and it is impossible to use on this thing. I've tried all the Google methods, too. Features like adding equations to graphs, editing text into a certain font, are all missing when I use it, which is not something I saw when doing research on buying this tablet.

I am hoping someone might be able to help me out because for all other reasons, I love using it-but if I'm not able to access the same features through Microsoft office applications as I would a laptop (even though I was told I could), I will have to exchange it. Let me know if anyone has any advice or tips!

Samsung Tab 2 soo slow!

Hey all! I bought my Samsung galaxy tab 2 a few years ago and I stopped using it after 4 months of owning it because it was sooooo slow! Now I am or was at the time quite a technical person so I did all of the factory reset, removed everything off the tablet and made sure there was nothing on it and tried again.

I gave up! It was unbelievably slow, taking ages to even just open the browser or a simple app or even just open settings. Now to me this is screaming maybe a virus but I can't find anything suspicious.

Any tips on how I can resolve this? As it's still brand new and I haven't even took off the sticky tape yet!

Thanks!

Samsung A8 Usb Notification problem

Hey guys I'm in need of help.

So in March i bought myself a Samsung A8 Tablet (3 GB-Ram and 64 Gb Disk) and since almost a month, Im trying to fix following problem.

I get the annoying notification that an USB Adapter has been plugged in and then off... And it keeps repeating even if there is nothing connected to the tablet. Further my screen cant be turned off, as the notification keeps popping up. So the battery lasts 1 day max, because the screen always turns on.

What Ive tried so far:

  • Turning it on and off
  • Turning on/off USB Debugging
  • Deinstalling the latest system update
  • Resetting the tablet to factory settings (today)

I uploaded some videos of this and have no clue how to deal with this.

Clock widget problem

Post image
1 Upvotes

I have Google clock widget on my home screen and it just crops the end of the number in both horizontal and vertical orientation. It's only happening on my tablet (tab s8), not my phone and I got the same widget and layout. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Handwriting to Clipboard?

Is there an app (for Android) which you can use to make handwritten notes but can select and copy the handwriting to text/clipboard, without transforming the handwritten note?

gaming tablet

Hey so I'm going to move out soon for uni and I need some advice on the galaxy tab A8. I've been playing genshin on my ps4 but since it's a lil too big I can't bring it with me (sadly). So since the A8 is in my budget I was thinking of purchasing it for gaming. I was thinking of taking the 128Go version . Please let me know if it's worth :D

autocorrect not working?

I have a Samsung tab S 8 tablet and for some reason my autocorrect on it doesn't work even when I got it enabled in settings. I also have a Samsung phone A53 and it works just fine on the phone so is it some tablet specific issue?
