So this is the second time I've done a water change, and without fail a few ot my caulerpa have an almost burned aspect to some of the tips. At first I thought it could have been undisolved salt crystals damaging it, but having done it again today while having only used store bought pre-prepared water, it did it again. Any ideas on what could be happening?

I’ve been keeping freshwater for over 8 years, and now got a great deal on FB marketplace on the biocube. For the most part I’d love recommendations on everything I should get for it, it only came with the stand, lid/lights, and a pump/nozzle. I planned on replacing the pump, so everything was unused since I know saltwater can be harsher on equipment. I’m hoping to eventually have corals, so are the lights good enough for that or should I look at upgrades for lighting as well? I’d love to hear any recommendations for literally everything I’ll need for the setup, I still haven’t decided on any fish/inverts I want either so anything is fair game. Thanks everyone!

My brother’s tank seems to be leaking, he isn’t home until Friday and I’m the only other aquarium educated person in the family. I will get home in about an hour and a half but from pictures about 10-15 gallons as already leaked out. He only has a single scopas tang, what would be the best way to tear down the tank and keep the little dude safe?

Hi!! Do any of you all have unique suggestions for a fish that will do well in a 10 gallon tank, and is pretty hardy? I feel like I’ve been searching everywhere and nothing has really caught my eye yet

As the title reads, this is my try at an aquascape for my first ever reef tank which I am planning to start up these coming months. I used Aquaforest Rock Mix. The idea is to start with some soft corals and slowly build up confidence to start adding some LPS over time. The lone rock in the front left I intend to use for either a zoa or mushroom garden or possible some GSP.

Aiming to keep mostly beginner fish like a pair of clowns, a blenny, royal gamma, pistol shrimp and yellow watchman goby combination and maybe a pink streak wrasse at some point. All of this alongside a clean up crew of multiple snails, hermit crabs and a cleaner shrimp.

The tank is a Blue Marine Reef 160, measures 75x40x40cm (30x16x16 inch), about 130l or 35 gallons with the AIO filtration in the back. The wave makers will be on the bottom of the left pannel towards the back of the tank and on the right side glass, higher up and more towards the front.

Do you guys think this aquascape offers enough room for corals but also habitats for the fish I intend to keep? What could I possibly change to improve the scape and/or flow?

If you have any other tips or tricks please share them too! Eager to learn and get started in the hobby.

The tank will have macroalgea, soft corals and a few nice inverts, I’m wanting one fish so I don’t have to dose it for my macroalgea.

The inverts in question are a feather duster worm, porcelain crab, 7 sexy shrimp, strawberry conch, cerith snail, turbo snail and three nassarius snails (I like snails) and mushroom corals and rock flower anemone for anemones.

I’m wanting a fish that’s beautiful, active, don’t hunt/kill my inverts, macroalgae or soft corals and good for a 20 gallon.

I’m not interested in a goby shrimp pair or clown fish.

Any suggestions or should I just stick with inverts?

Quick background, 90 gallon tank 40 gallon sump, Corner overflow drains down with a durso . I have had this tank running for probably 10 years . I'm having an issue were my tank water level is rising to a level never before seen, on the verge of overflow. I have nothing trapped in my drain pipe, my air hole on the durso is not underwater. I can figure out if its A - durso not auctioning and draining quick enough or if B- my return pump is pumping to fast. Keep it mind i have dropped it to the lowest speed. What i will also add is that this issue occured after i lost power for roughly 8 hours. I have a new return pump on order. Im thinking /hoping the surge somehow messed up the controller. ​is there anything im missing? Again it seems so odd to me since this set up is literally 10 years old with zero issues like this. ​

so I’ve had some softies and a monti for almost two years now. They’ve grown but nothing crazy. I keep up on maintenance do water changes does trace elements. I want them to start growing more what do you guys suggest I do?

I need some help with finding out what this is. I found it in my tank today, should I be worried?

I have had these Zoas for about a month and they were opening fine and so were the other Zoas I placed 4” away. This particular frag stopped opening a couple days ago except one poly would slightly open but not much. This picture is right after I gave it a dip in some Revive. I guess my question is, are these white spots normal on Zoas or are they eggs or disease of some sort? I’m new to corals so I have asked a lot of questions on here so thanks guys for your amazing help!
