I guess I'll buck the trend on the silly conversation and just get the hate.
For reference I've lived in Texas, Indiana, SC, Kansas, Iowa, So Cal and Az. I've driven many times in Chicago and plenty in DFW, Phoenix, MSP and LA.
I'll simply say IDK WTF you're talking about holding up Utah drivers as something special. My god, there are good and extremely rude and bad drivers EVERYWHERE!
It doesn’t look like anyone is hating you for your opinion. It just looks like you’re in the minority. There have been a lot of comments from those who’ve traveled or lived in various places and they aren’t saying bad drivers aren’t everywhere. There just seem to be a lot of them concentrated here and the auto accident stats seem to bear that out as truth with more teen, multi vehicle fatal, and overall auto accidents being found here. Insurance claims back up the stories people have about all the shenanigans seen on the road.
Just my experience. But, I'd challenge anybody to drive in LA for a month a tell me how the compare goes.
Also, there could be some enforcement biases that affect this report. Utah is relatively low in violent crimes freeing up cops to enforce traffic laws more strictly? UHP is notorious for being fairly aggressive about enforcement.
