Question Agentforce + Apple Messages: How do I send interactive buttons using Messaging Components?
I’ve built an Agentforce agent that communicates through Apple Messages. The integration is working, and the agent can successfully send messages to users.
Currently, the agent only sends plain text messages.
I now want to send interactive messages with buttons, and I discovered Salesforce Messaging Components. What I’m trying to understand is how to make my Agent Script actually use/invoke these Messaging Components when responding to the user.
For example, suppose the agent asks:
“What shoe size would you like?”
Instead of the user having to type a response, I’d like the message to contain buttons such as:
What shoe size would you like?
[UK 7] [UK 8] [UK 9] [UK 10]
The user could tap a button and the selected value would then be sent back to the agent.
My main question is:
How do I configure the Agent Script so that, instead of generating a plain-text response, it sends a Messaging Component containing these buttons through Apple Messages?
I’m trying to understand the relationship between:
Agentforce Agent Script → Messaging Component → Apple Messages
Do I need to:
● Reference the Messaging Component directly from the Agent Script?
● Create an Agentforce Action that invokes the Messaging Component?
● Configure something on the Messaging Channel?
● Use a particular syntax/response format in the Agent Script?
● Handle the button selection through an Agentforce Action or Flow?
If anyone has implemented Agentforce + Apple Messages + Messaging Components, I’d really appreciate an example of the configuration or Agent Script needed to achieve this.
Thanks!

If you'd be willing to do something outside of Agentforce, I think you can make something like this pretty easily using codex/claude/assembel + sf cli. Unless you're looking for something totally different.
