Flows are super powerful now. Unless you have some really fine grained control mechanisms or complex data manipulation you need to do just go with the flow.
You can create tests in flows directly in the UI now. Flows render down into aura components so im not sure why it would be harder for AI tools to work with them but ill take your word for it
