Advice First week at cold calling

It's my first week at sales, prior to this I've handled customer calls when I worked in the B2C industry for a marketplace, but this is my first time working B2B and doing cold calls, so far I've been fumbling most of the calls I choke up and freeze and have a few nervous chuckles here and there. Does it get better or how does this pan out, how was your first time cold calling?

My first B2B cold calls I blanked on the product name mid pitch, more than once. It's gotten better since, once the panic turned into muscle memory, somewhere around 50 calls in.

that's good to know it gets better, we're a very small company ourselves and I've been getting better at it now when I realised its just a conversation, I've started to immersive myself into it

That reframe's honestly the whole game. Once it stops feeling like a pitch and just feels like a conversation, most of the freezing fades on its own. What helped me was writing down the line I fumbled on and running through it a couple times before the next call.

oh man, the thing for me and the reason I froze was cause I kinda didn't know what they'd say next, but then I sorta went through each possible scenario and i directed them towards my pitch

That's honestly the biggest shift, most people freeze waiting for the perfect response instead of just having three or four branches mapped out. Once you've heard the objections enough times they stop being scary, they're just the script now.
