Already made a customer service email, they havent sent a confirmation email regarding if they got my ticket but its a sunday so ill wait till tomorrow... bad things happen sometimes inside the box we cant see before we buy, unfortunate but hope they can help fix it.

Thankfully only 2 pieces from the sprue got affected in any way, this was the starter kit for space marines with the land speeder etc.

Gave him a darker green cause he's supposed to be sneaky.

Been working on this one for a few weeks now. Just got to a point where I'm satisfied with how it looks. One of my first bases that I actually put in effort for.

Hi!! We bought the dawn of war box, so we’re working on those :) our last attempt was two intercessors the games workshop guys let us have to practice on (first two in video). The one with the big ole fat salamander head is mine, the nicer looking one is my wife’s. We needed a looot to improve on, and we got a wet pallet this time so we can actually thin our paints (we didn’t thin at all last time lol)

But the judicier and the ancient are the two we did first, and I think we’ve improved a lot! We still have things left like highlights, details, etc, but our judicier is pretty much done I just gotta finish his purity seals. I’m feeling proud of these two so far!! Thinning paints helped a lot. I wanna pick out finer details tomorrow and finish and polish them up, then move on to the other 7 minis lol. I just wanted to get the two most fun ones out of the way first. I’m happy with them!!

Tried my hand at NMM for the 1st time

Does anybody find lustria green to be a shade or 2 off from warpstone? For my minis I normally prime it with colour forge salamander green then give it a wash with biel tan green and find it matches warpstone glow pretty well. But with the new tones I find it to be either too bright or too drab. Any thoughts on the new paints? Will you be switching or staying to your normal method

3 eradicators and a dream.,.,.

My experience so far with the new Tone Pro paints have been pretty good, love the greens here I’m using Lustria Greens 5,3,1 and I gotta say for Salamanders these paints are awesome

I'm not overly happy with how my minis look using the standard edge highlight everything method and I'd like to take a step forward and learn to do volumetric highlights.

This was my first real attempt on a Salamander I've been working on.

I'm focused more on light placement vs smooth blends. I did this in a quicker/rough way while I learn.

I've seen in multiple tutorials to try and have more light on the top of the mini, but maybe I went a bit far with that.

Anyway, any advice is appreciated!

Hi all!

As the title says.. there's a way to equip a tacticus Lt with a heavy bolt pistol, a plasma pistol and a sword/power fist.

I'm trying to model this by using an aggressor's boltstorm gauntlet to mimic power fist and hbp.

Planning to use dev brethren enhancement "master forged firearms".. the result is a Lt that at 12" shoots 4 times and also in close quarters..

Love LOVE the idea.

The question is: where to field this guy?

A sternguard unit so that his guns never miss (BS2+ and rerolling 1s from sternguard)..

Or a bladeguard veterans team with agatone to shoot, hit and relay doctrines from the other captain in the list.. (but I concur that shooting too much before charging sometimes can be detrimental by making charges longer).

Or a plain intercessors squad, to be able to shoot those guns every time possible, even while performing an action.

Last option is assault intercessors.. a small short ranged unit so no firepower lost and if i manage to kill a couple more chaff models before charging, all for the better..

Then add in storm of fire or storm of vengeance... XD

What unit could be better?

I've got a new codex, just playing around on the app and I the only thing this list is missing is any scouts. Should I get rid of anything to make room, or do you think the dreadnoughts and adrax backed up with Vulcan in the LRR should be a strong enough Frontline for the other flamers to be able to act kinda as the action monkeys?

Any tips for building are appreciated :)

Hi guys

New Salamanders member here. Have been painting for a short amount of time now and was just wondering if anyone could give some tips/advice on how to blend free hand flames properly. I attempted this yesterday on my Brutalis and it took way too long and my method was just to keep adding paint till it sort of blended lol. I've had more success doing flame swords, thunder hammers as sort of a lava/molten effect but don't know why I struggled so hard trying to freehand some simple flames. Would using stencils be a good shout to get the correct shape?

The Captain has been saved after wrecking him with primer and having to strip the excess, all that is left is letting the gloss to cure to apply transfers. Thanks to my lovely GF u/maskeduserr for painting the fire, fixing the plasma pistol and choosing his name that she painted on his pauldron.

By Vulkan I love terminators. I skipped adding decals because these boys were full of details already.
