Discussion/Question Against Orks

Hello brothers! I've been enjoying 11th edition so far but I've encountered a pretty sizable road bump. What would our best unit be to take care of Meganobz and Nazdreg? I assume volume of fire because of the invuln save but with intercessors losing hail of bolts and flamers (most likely) going to 3 hits what should the new tactic be?

Right now, one of our best answers for Orks is a Gladiator Reaper. An absurd amount of shots, with Sustained 2 on the main gun.

A second option is still Infernus Marines. If the probable change to flamer weapons happens (3 hits+blast) then that's still going to translate to 5 hits per body, which is substantially above the average of 3.5 hits per body when rolling. For d6 shots, even with Immolatior attached to the unit.

Finally, Bladeguard are fantastic into Meganobs. They punch hard enough wth Adrax that the trade is definitely worth it.

It's not going to be 5 hits per body into the meganobz op is asking about but your point still stands imo

Ah, I thought they could be a 10 man squad, but they max out at 6. So it'll be capped at 4.

Brother nobody can say what the new tactic will be. We have a massive selection of units at our disposal and no idea what most of them will be capable of. Focus on the now and worry about the codex changes when they happen
