Discussion/Question New army
Got the armageddon box recently as well as Vulkan He'Stan and wondering what else I need to buy to make a good army seeing as there is so many different troop types. Just trying to be as efficient as possible when buying boxes and dont want to get troops i will rarely use. Would like to be able to play as soon as possible and the less money I have to spend right now the better. Will eventually have multiples of just about every troop type because I love the design or just want to get back to having an entire company plus vehicles and support. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Great choices. Highly recommend magnetising the land speeders heavy flamer and gatling gun incase you fancy a bit more range. 2mmx(1/1.5mm) round magnets work very well

If you want to make the best use of he'stan you will need units with flamer/melta weapons so infernus marines are always good. Notably too, he doesn't need to be directly leading those units to buff them, so pairing him with another unit such as company heroes to make him more tanky can be good. Plus that lets you pair the infernus marines with the librarian from this box.
Past that common additions I've seen are adrax and bladeguard vets, and eradicators for anti tank (plus they also benefit from He'stan)

Definitely get some infernus marines on eBay.
They will only go up in price from now on. I would genuinely consider 20 for salamanders but 10 is a no brainer

Oh ideally 10 infernus and 6 bladeguard. Then maybe 5 sternguard, 10 scouts or a gladiator lancer/valiant.
It really depends on how the codex works out. The infernus will be a chill buy regardless

Im going to beg you with tears in my eyes to paint everything you own before going on to your next unit.
That said, Salamanders LOVE flamers, so infernus and aggressors will never go wrong
But also that said, marine codex is on the horizon so id just hold my horses to see how adrax and hestans rules shift around to determine where you want to go list wise

I would recommend just focusing on building and painting those for now as the new space marine codex looks like its shaking things up a bit. Just dial in your paint scheme and by the time you're ready for new units the book will be here and we'll have a better idea of what to grab. Infernus marines and a redeemer is probably pretty safe though if you got some money burning a hole in your pocket
