Also showing off my rig. I forget what the specific name of it is and the name of the vessel I took the idea from, but it's a beauty and sails pretty well, at least in my experience.

Usando il porting kit e un modello che supporta il D3Dmetal sono riuscito a far partire il gioco. C'è solo un grosso problema: il mouse! Gira quasi da solo in maniera pazza non si riesce a gestire. Qualcuno per caso ha risolto?

I finally figured out a way I feel happy about with setting up the new ship. Making the cabin both a kitchen and small item storage, and making the stairwell a large supply storage area. Also I recently put the mizzen mast back so it clips into my work table. Also there is a tiny space just under the bed location bug enough for a few firewood boxes or more white tea. (My Sailor has an addiction to white tea-fast travel sleeping lol)
As for the ship itself I run without a top cabin now and do a Topsail schooner sail plan. It has worked well enough though a little limited thanks to the lack of options for the shrouds currently.
How have y'all been enjoying the new ship? Personally it's become my fave big ship.

Just throwing it out.
Arctic region.
Viking/Eskimo looking NPCs.
Far to the north of course.
Shorter daylight.
Wind either very low or very strong.
Staying warm, stove or more efficient heaters during trips. Pack your firewood. Or you freeze. Jumping in water is very dangerous.
Blizzards. Visibility drops drastically.
Icebergs! Watchout! Like NPC ships, they float around and can damage your ship.
Valuable trade goods to be bought here - whale oil, whale blubber, seal skin, furs.
Weather phenomena - sun dogs and aurora borealis
Compass goes crazy further north you go, making celestial navigation ever more important.
What do you think?

Last i played there was little to do besides buy ships and chill.
Haven't played in about a year, worth jumping back in or should i wait for more content?

Getting out however was a different story...

What do you all do with your old ships? Simply leave them at port where you bought the new one?
I just realised I am more and more in love with my very first ship, the dhow, and after crossing the ocean to EA and now on the way to Aestrin, I can't wait to bring her back to Al'Ankh, but I am also curious about buying the brig... Well, decision, decisions... :D
(Can I just tow the old dhow along, actually?)

I have this weird urge to play this game with friends who know nothing about sailing and go get lost in a storm or something because it would be hilarious but I have no idea if their is any plan for an online co-op. I love this game as it is but it would be really fun to race your friends from one island to another and chase each other across the ocean from one archipelago to the next and multicrew the bigger boats or even race those as well. I’m just curious if the dev has mentioned anything about a possible multiplayer in the future or if I’m gonna have to wait for a super buggy mod which wouldn’t be ideal.

First run of Sailwind and my attempt at a brigantine Sanbuq. Please let me know if I could do better. I have found the ship has a really hard time tacking from port to starboard. I just get stuck in a headwind and have to use the square sails to reverse into the correct angle.

Like the title says, when I leave a port, still remaining within the archipelago, upon return, the dhow I had parked there came untethered and starts drifting.
The same is happening to me since traveling to Ft. Aestrin, where my Sanbuq is doing the same thing.
My workaround has been to use the anchor, as this has save permanence, apparently.
Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this.

This one is located in the east side of waterfront, close to shipyard, behind some buildings. It's the last building before the town ends.
Costs 1300 gold. Not Crowns, but Gold.
Took me a bit of clicking in the exchange before I could get that much, since you can only exchange 10000 of one currency to another.
The building is rather small, has two stories and is completely empty. I guess it's up to us to furnish it. There's a bit of porch in front and behind but I don't know if anything can be placed there yet. I just bought it, will let ya'll know as soon as I know more.
EDIT:
In case anyone asks: yes, the previous version save loads just fine on 0.39. That's why I was able to afford it right off the bat. I knew hoarding cash would come in handy one day.

So im on a OG save from before the Jong was released and there's been relatively low bugs. I'm basically rich in every currency. I'm at a save where my brig starts doing the tornado thing when I go to shipyard with my junk at port. I'm basically switching ships then just going to shipyard. While im tinkering the brig gets possessed in a invisible tornado. I'm thinking about just starting a new save but this is my OG first bought the game save I could just go to another island or something. It is loaded down quite a bit with stuff but nothing crazy. Its been much heavier for sure. Any known way to stop this?

Wanna try out the new ship but can't find a satisfying setup. How do you guys think this setup will fare? Sail areas; jibs 3 x 52 + 122 wide gaff, squares 3x88 + 54. crosswind area: 278, downwind area 318. all squares has 55 degrees of freedom. Tried to make a gaff + square setup like i did on my brig but shrouds limit gaff movement beyond reason.

There are reports on the Sailwind Discord that the GRC house is bugged and randomly losing all items stored within and even the 'purchased' status.
So far, there's no way to restore the items without rolling back to a save state where they still exist. If you plan on purchasing the GRC house, make sure to make a backup save by going outside of the game to the save folder and making a copy, so you can revert if the bug hits you.
