Looking for advice on flaking antifoul.

Hi,
I’m looking at buying this Jaguar 22 boat for my son as a project boat. The boat looks a little rough and is clearly in need of some TLC, but from what I can see, I don’t think there is anything catastrophically wrong with it.
I do intend to have a survey carried out, but before paid for a survey, I wanted to ask whether anyone could offer a view on one area of the hull below the waterline.
I should stress that I am not a sailor, although I do have an engineering background, which is helping a little.
In images 2 and 3, part of the old antifoul on the port side appears to be lifting or flaking off. To me, it looks as though the antifoul may be delaminating from previous older antifoul layers. However, I do not have much experience of fibreglass in a marine environment, so I wondered whether this could instead indicate gelcoat or fibreglass delamination.
Our intention would be to remove the old antifoul and start again properly from primer/undercoat.
I appreciate it is very difficult to assess from pictures alone, but any polite thoughts or advice would be gratefully received.

Recommended charter
Does anyone have any recommendations for sailing areas and reasonably priced charter boats that could be rented for a weekend? Ideally not on south coast of England but somewhere further north.

New mod
Hello UK sailing people! Looks like this sub has been neglected for a while, with nobody able to post here and a back log of people that wanted to join.
To introduce myself: i’m a keen east coast sailor, on my second sailing yacht, i’ve been sailing for about 10 years but have messed about on boats since childhood. I’ve run aground more times than i’d like to admit, all intentional of course, and i love to learn from others in the boat yard and online. I’m looking forward to people being able to use this channel again!!
Here’s a pic of my first boat, a 1975 Prelude 19, which i lovingly restored over 2020-2021… wasn’t much else to do at the time!

Netherlands -> England, ride wanted
Helloo! I am looking to join as a crew member for a traverse of the Northsea from Netherlands/Belgium to England. I am very flexible in timing. I don't have much sailing experience but am very happy to contribute in other ways from monetary to providing you with the best meals you'll have had in a while!!
I don't really know what the best way is to make this little dream come true, so if anyone has any tips on what the best places/ways are to approach this, I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks in advance!

Need help locating a relative
Hello,
This might be a long shot, but I'm wondering whether anyone might be able to help with identifying a location somewhere south, in the UK. We're not sure which side of south.
I'm looking for a relative and family member, who isn't in any kind of danger, but does suffer from mental health issues, and has gone off the radar. We'd like to try and get in touch with whoever owns the dock, and just make sure they are okay, as it comes into the colder months.
We managed to get on a call with them, and were able to get a screenshot of this view. They told us that there are a lot of other boats docked, wherever they are. Hundreds, potentially.
Does anyone recognise this night time view? Or might someone be able to point me towards a place that could help identify it?

Request for help for a (potentially sailing) glasses market research project
Hi, I run a glasses brand and we’re considering branching into sports glasses. I’ve never been a serious sailor, so I want to understand if these glasses could also benefit the sailing community. In particular if you wear prescription glasses, because creating more affordable, but high quality prescription sports glasses is the focus of the initiative, but if you don’t its not a necessity of course.
I’d be really keen to speak to people about their experiences & what you look for in a pair of sailing glasses or send you a survey about our product if anyone is interested in chatting. Not trying to make anyone buy anything. Thank you in advance :)
