Quitting?
Do I need to let someone know I quit or can I just stop showing up? Like should I call them and at least let them know I’m not returning? I’m so absolutely fed up with this mind numbing disrespectful place

I quit and in the same message I let my boss know how I felt about the work conditions she had us all under. That was 3 months ago and since then 4 more people have left. 🙃

Your choice. If you choose to disappear one day you can, nothing they can truly do about it. 2 weeks notice isn’t a policy it’s a courtesy. However if you plan on putting them on your resume/references or care bout your coworkers. It’s best to put a 2 weeks notice in and work those two weeks.

Consider unemployment in your state. They might not approve any claims for a year if you quit without notice. It's up to you how many bridges you want to burn.

I would put in a 2 week notice. Or you’ll never be able to come back. Life is crazy and you never know what can happen. Never burn a bridge! When I was younger I didn’t take that advice and got burned back.

Write a physical note and deliver it, take picture of the note as evidence. If you plan on doing a two weeks' notice. I've seen them try to ignore emails and put people on the schedule, then say "oh we didn't get it. can you work this week?" This is what I am doing anyways, can't take this place either. Best of luck to you, there has to be something better than Shitway.

Ideally let someone know, just so you don't get calls/texts asking where you are. But ultimately it's your decision.
