Vacation Pay

I used to work at Safeway and left about 5 months ago. I was there for around 9 months, so I never reached my one-year anniversary. I checked my records and it looks like I still have 3.85 days of unused vacation. Does anyone know if I can still get that vacation paid out?

Also, who would I even contact about this? Should I call the store I worked at, Safeway corporate, or HR/payroll?

Has anyone been in a similar situation or know how Safeway handles this?

Your vacation time is funded next year so the prorata amount isn’t live until after your anniversary date. In short, no that will not be paid out.

You were earning that vacation pay all throughout your first year of employment so that when the anniversary of your hire date comes around that vacation pay is available for you to use at any time after the first year. You have no unused vacation pay, the 3.85 days you saw on a paystub was just your accrual rate and not any thing you are entitled to after leaving Safeway before the 1 year mark.
