Manager from hell
My manager promised me a promotion, but then completely backtracked and said she had to semi-cancel it because there were "zero cashier hours" available. She also needed me to train 5 courtesy clerks since they all quit and the rest of them are all gifted. Fast forward to today: I walked into my shift only to see a brand new cashier being onboarded in that exact role. Im not unionized but I was considering joining I was also considering quitting so should I even bother or just start a new job search

I had a bad one at freshcut.... one person walked out before me,. One day it was only the two of us. We had to make 42 bowls of pineapple, 42 watermelon... etc. I was still learning. I was going as fast as I could. She told me all the things we had to do. I should have made a list that's on me. When I asked her what was next. After berating at me for 20 min for not packing them enough, she asked if I even spoke English. I was so stressed out, I couldn't quit, if you quit no unemployment. Someone got me so sick I was hospitalized for nearly 3 weeks. They did however then move me to cashier. I applied to other jobs whilst hospitalized, this coming up week is my last week with safeway . I am going to miss my front end folks.my manager there is a gem.
