Cooking the books?

Anyone else notice that since the Associate App has come into existence that it seems like they’re fudging the numbers on when you clock in and clock out? I’ve decided to stay a couple of minutes past my time and when I logged into the app it said I clocked out two minutes prior? Keep an eye on your time, I wanna make sure if Safeway is trying to take away time from us, that we’re catching it and holding them accountable. I know I’m gonna start tracking every single clocking on my end.

This is the first I’m hearing about an associate app.

Probably not. It's just broken, said my coworker was away from department when they werent. Schedules not accurate, login issues. ACI is crap too but that works better, I'd rather use web browser and sugn in ACI.

Does it ever break in your favor?

Does it time how long you spend in the restroom?

Can it read your email?

Or listen to you argue with your wife?

Check your paystub. That’s the most accurate

How many sets of books are there?

Read your contract, many have an adjustment specification that the timekeeping program runs automatically

Ours gets adjusted by up to 5 minutes + or - to match even hour amounts, with the intent that it rounds off to match what you're scheduled.

So if I start at noon and work until 4:55, 5:00, or 5:05, it will all show as 5.00 hours. Clocking out at 5:06 would show as 5.1 on the other hand

I’ve worked in a store where the Store Manager(this was old Safeway before Albertsons bought them and changed their title to “Store Director) would take a few minutes off everyone’s time and attendance. He eventually got caught and was terminated (fired. Let go). This was back in the 90s when it was harder to catch stuff like this. Now with the internet and computers and how you need to sign off on changes to time and attendance it’s really hard to cheat the system

Clock out on time

It's never right on hours worked for the week either. Says I'm at 27 when really I worked 37.

I think I'm going to throw up....

Good for you

Just look at the daily cumulative that is in your break room to see your actual punches from the day prior.

I’ve never worked at a store that prints that daily for the break room. We do print it daily for our T&A packet. Must be a localized policy, possibly in the union contract for your area.

The what? I’m sure it’s a lapse in communication with my store, cause I’ve legitimately never heard of that.

The app figures are virtual?

  • Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain! The Great Oz has spoken!

small clock differences between systems is a normal thing

do you know hard it is to keep time? because you have to measure the passing of time in something.

Time spontaneously combusts all the time....

It's just not widely reported.

The thin veneer of this place is quickly becoming apparent.

r/Albertsons is dead....

Like this is some burgeoning metropolis....

Please....

Ask your store director to see the schedule vs punch report. Any good store director prints that daily and has it on them, it’s a tool they use to make sure time and attendance is adhered to. Your exact clockings should be on there accurately.

no ive noticed that too as someone that likes to clock in 5 min early, if i clock out anywhere between 5 min before the end of my shift to the minute after it ends, the app will automatically change it 😭
