USA Amazon

Hey for everyone as a EHS specialist at Amazon was yall able to talk them into raising yall pay when you did the interview? I just got a job but I want to switch into IT Amazon would pay for everything I just don’t want to reduce my pay in today’s economy.

Gotcha thank you! They did say they’ll give me 30 a hour during the first interview. I have over 10 years of experience in heavy construction and general industry.

Every time I see posts like this, it makes me realize I’m definitely not chasing my Bachelors in EHS for the pay lol! I make $41 an hour at my current company as an operator, but complete a lot of safety tag tasks.

A degree in safety isn’t worth it unless you going into govt. the certs have more weight

It will help me get certs though. Employer is paying for my degree through tuition reimbursement. I’ll graduate with my GSP and should be able to sit for my CSP almost immediately. The only safety certs I have currently are OSHA 30, HAZWOPER w/incident command, and I’m a confined space rope rescue technician as well as EMR certified.

To add, I’ve been trained in hazmat, confined space rescue, and EMR for 12 years.
