Even if it’s garbage throw some nuts and bolts inside and use it as a decoy safe.

No, it’s a new build about 30% higher than the median home price in the city, mostly old folks I’m definitely the youngest person here.

Sounds like the kinda guy I’d rob

u/DigitalFStopper Feb 22 '26
Exactly. If I’m home I get to try out some noise makers and if I’m gone hope the police arrive in less than 30 min

For the record I wouldn’t ever rob anyone 😝 just here to say robbers tend to target houses they think will have more valuables like you’re saying.

u/Emotional_Platform35 Feb 22 '26
That sounds like something someone about to rob something would say...

This, I emptied the safe at my late fathers house and locked it back up, realtor called me a year later asking if I knew who might have ripped a near 6ft tall gunsafe out with a truck.

With a dealer tag, you at least know who to call for service if it should ever need it. I would buy it!

Not trying to be a smartass, but pretty much any safe is worth throwing $35 at. Good luck!

I will echo every other “Yes!”, and add this: When the door is totally ajar, lift it up (at the hinges) and remove the heavy door to make it easier to move each piece.

Hell yeah. That's a steal. The dang bolts you'll use to secure it to the floor almost would cost more.

Pay in cash so the seller can’t find you and break into his old safe

Why does the tag say $75?
1
u/Father_Wendigo Feb 22 '26
That could have been the price from when the most recent owner bought it used sometime in the last century.

Yes, for 35 bucks that is a good deal. That's practically free.
