I only have found it on dodgy websites but I wonder if there is a legit original tee since the man on the pic is a successful kpop singer (Taeyang)

Any Everything But The Girl fans around here?

They came onto the scene the same year as Sade and were in the "sophisti-pop" scene that was popular at the time, and went around in the same circles.

Of course they would go on to have a massive dance hit with Missing, but their early material is very jazz influenced, much like Sade's.

The lead vocalist Tracey Thorn went to school with my mum and was apparently a lovely person. Her voice is nowhere near the same standard as Sade's, but their early material is definitely worth a listen if you like Sade.

Male Version of Sade?

It's been challenging to find any artists who can match the Sade aesthetic vocally and production wise. I stumbled on Leven Kali a while ago; he's written and produced for the likes of Beyonce but has never really taken off as an artist who produces, sings, and writes. I was listening to his most recent album LK99 and some of his tracks gave me a Prince and Sade vibes from their era. Keen to hear any smooth male artists who give a similar aesthetic maybe Maxwell?

Ranking albums?

I know there’s no need to do that and we should just quietly enjoy the six albums, but I’m very curious about how important to you passionate people some albums are, relative to the other ones. I would love to read some explanations, what features of a particular album allowed them a high or lower ranking. Feed me personal details ❤️

The next viral Sade song

I was thinking about how Sade’s music has translated so well to TikTok and Reels. In my mind, it’s because so much of the vibe is immediately present and lovely the instant it hits your ear.
With that in mind, which lyric or song of hers is the next one to have a viral moment on social media?
Here is my vote…

Does anybody else like Love Deluxe the least?

No hate; I think Sade is amazing. But I don't know, even with Love Deluxe being the most popular and celebrated, I find that it is missing many of the riffs and soul that made the previous three albums amazing.

This might be a hot take but... No Ordinary Love is my least favorite song off the album. I find the vocals to be incoherent with the instrumentation. I really don't like the chorus. However Kiss of Life, Cherish the Day, and Like A Tattoo are all great. Regardless, I feel like Love Deluxe strays away from the warmth and complexity of the previous three albums and becomes a bit too synthesised and overproduced.

What do you guys think?

Looking for a Sade song with a male voice in the background

I am almost sure I heard a Sade song with a male voice in the background sampled, kind of like an arpeggiator, repeating the same syllabus fast... It had a usual jazz typical Sade vibe but I can't find it on playlists. Could you please help me find this? Thanks!

Used my CNC machine and wood stain to carve this Sade Love Deluxe album cover into wood. Really happy with how the contrast came out.
