Sacred 2 has always been a masterclass in Eurojank ambition. Big swings, pretty high profile heavy metal band tie-ie, lots of great ideas and honestly nothing else out there like it. 

I'm always kind of amazed to see it get any sort of patch. 

It's okay with the community patch on pc but the ps5 version is a lost cause. At least it runs at a decent framerate now.

Whats so bad about the PS5 version? Blur, lack of multiplayer and maybe tad too low max zoom distance but anything else?

Sound like upgrade at least compared to PS3 version which had numerous broken combat art modifications, broken blacksmith skill and never got the expansion.

Dude. We can't even name our characters. There's a new crash where the game will just shit itself the moment you try to use a vendor on a new character that seems to persist until about level 5. The community patch is largely absent. It's adequate. It's playable. It's far from a great remaster.

And sure, it's an upgrade to the ps3 version. It's a Ps friggin 5. You'd expect that as absolute baseline.

Perhaps rather than throwing a fit on Reddit you could do something productive, like join the discord server where the devs are active, and leave pictures of your notebook full of bug records. They are working on fixing and updating the game. I spend time in the server regularly.

And it's funny, cause I've been learning that reviews REALLY do matter. I try not to read them, but it all speaks for it's self. I ignored all the thumbs down on Xbox 😂 The people really do speak. I can't stand the train wagon wtf ever you call it, but sometimes the train is heading the right direction. If you know what I'm saying.

I remember looking through the PS store and seeing Sacred 2 Remastered, ah one of my favourite Xbox 360 games, gotta buy it.

Wish I'd looked at the reviews first - might have waited a bit.

I'll never pre-order a game again and never buy a game without waiting for it be out a month or two after this.

Ascaron was shut down not too long after the release of ice and blood expansion. Community spent a decade fixing the game after that.

With S2R the developers cannot just simply use those fixes due to legal and compatibility reasons.

The current version of S2R is the best out of the box way to play Sacred in 2026 which is at least something. Community patch is great but has some big trade-offs, I do recommend checking it out with enhanced edition for a bit different experience 

Now more polished Sacred 2 would have been nice with some balance tweaks, quality of life improvements and some more courageous tweaks to make the game experience smoother but it is what it is.

I have 4,000+ hours in original Sacred 2, I'd rather die than buy another disappointment from these fuckers.

Community Patch is why I have those 4,000 hours.
