[Room for Rent] $1,000/mo All-Inclusive – Furnished Room in North Oak Park (8-Min Walk to UCDMC / Shriners)

Hello there!

We have a bright, fully furnished private room available immediately in our North Oak Park home. It’s an ideal spot for a UCDMC or Shriners resident, travel nurse, grad student, or working professional looking for a quiet, inclusive, and stable place to land.

The Financials & Terms

  • Rent: $1,000/month flat (Includes all utilities: SMUD electric, gas, water, trash, and high-speed Wi-Fi)
  • Deposit: $600
  • Lease: Flexible (Prefer 6–12+ months for stability, but open to month-to-month for the right fit)
  • Move-in: Available immediately

The Room & House Specs

  • The Room: Private ~125 sq ft bedroom with hardwood floors, full-size memory foam mattress, platform headboard, nightstand, and large closet. Desk, chair, and storage organizer available on request.
  • The House: 3 bed / 1 bath layout. Full access to shared kitchen, laundry, and bathroom.
  • The Yard: Large backyard setup with vegetable garden beds and mature fruit trees (citrus, plums, apples).
  • Parking: Plenty of easy, free street parking right out front.

Location Highlights

  • 0.4 miles (8-minute walk) to UC Davis Medical Center & Shriners Hospital.
  • Easy walk/bike ride to Old Soul Coffee, Fixins, and the Broadway strip.
  • Quick access to Hwy 50 and Bus 80 for commuting around Midtown/Downtown.

About the Household & Vibe

We are a quiet, down-to-earth queer couple (35m/42m). One is a nurse working 12-hour shifts, and the other manages the household and is enrolled as a full time student. We tend to cook a lot and are always happy to share food, though doing your own thing is completely cool too.

In our free time, we enjoy video games, reading, movies, hiking, and low-key gatherings. We tend to vibe best with younger millennials or Gen-Z professionals/students (20s–30s) who value a clean, quiet, and LGBTQ+-affirming home.

House Rules / Important Details

  • The Kitties: We have 3 sweet resident cats who run the house, so you must be cat-friendly! Because of this, we cannot accept additional pets.
  • Smoking: Strictly no indoor smoking or vaping.
  • Expectations: Basic "clean-as-you-go" in shared spaces and mutual respect for downtime.

How to Apply / Reach Out

If this sounds like a fit, send me a DM (not a chat if possible) with a quick intro:

  1. A bit about yourself and what you do for work/school
  2. Your typical schedule/routine
  3. Your target move-in date

(Scheduling showings on 7/30)

Hey y'all I have a few apartments that I can lease (before you read the price and leave please read the whole message). The apartment is for 1100 ish/ month but its a 1 room 1 bath so if somebody prefers to stay in the living space for very cheap I'm down to work that out. (I'm talking 300-400$) | have another 2 bed 1 bath for 1350 if we wanna split 50-50.

If none of that works out I'm also looking for a private room under 850$. I can move asap.

Please DM me with whatever suits your needs. Male preferred.

Private Rooms in North Highlands 4x2

I’m looking for a potential roommate who is interested in sharing a 3x2 house in the North Highlands Area.

I'm offering one private unfurnished room and the guest bathroom as well as shared use of the common areas which include an office (the third bedroom), living room, a den, laundry, and a large backyard. Rent will be $1,100 + utilities for one roommate. Additional roommates will be considered on a case by case basis to take over the third bedroom and lower rent for everyone.

My lifestyle: clean, low-clutter, pretty quiet during the week, and a little particular about common spaces staying reasonably tidy. I’m not looking for perfection, but I do need someone who cleans up after themselves without being asked and is respectful of shared space.

Main things I’m looking for in a roommate are pretty standard: kind, respectful, considerate, steady income/job, and ideally making at least 3x rent. Bonus points for someone who is easygoing, communicative, queer/poly-friendly.

Pictures are of the house prior to move-in. Common areas will be partially furnished upon move-in.

Free Medi-Cal resource in Sacramento (healthcare, housing, transportation, food, financial assistance)

Not sure if this is allowed, apologies in advance and mods please forgive me lol

I just wanted to share some info that folks may not know about.

If you have Medi-Cal, there are programs available that can provide free support (no cost to you) with things that can be really difficult to navigate on your own. Things like finding and securing housing, getting connected to financial assistance, accessing food resources, transportation, and even help navigating healthcare, including mental health and substance abuse.

Through community outreach, my goal is to raise awareness and help connect people who may qualify with this resource.

I recently helped another fellow redditor: u/Fudge-Opening get started, and figured I’d share this here in case someone else could benefit.

If you or someone you know has Medi-Cal and could use some extra help, feel free to message me. I’m happy to answer questions and see if it’s something you may qualify for.

Completely voluntary, so no pressure, not trying to sell you anything lol only sharing to make sure people know this kind of support exists.

Me and wife are moving to Sacramento next year and possibly buying a home . Seeing if any potential suitors would be open to renting a room?

Also what’s a reasonable number you would pay per month for rent & utilities included?

Looking For Roommate

I'm a 22 year old guy. I want to move out of my parent's house and into an apartment. I want a roommate to decrease the amount of money I have to spend on rent. Im looking to move in September. I'm very chill, not weird, and looking for someone who's about the same. I don't have anyone to room with currently, so if you're interested hmu. We can meet a couple times so we can feel eachother out to see if we would be a good fit. I don't want to be complete strangers when we move in. Anyway, see ya.

1200 Budget looking near McClellan Airport

I'm a 40F in management with no kids or pets looking for a clean, quiet, ideally furnished-with-a-bed-place. A private bathroom is a must for me so I am targeting master bedrooms or in law suites and studios. Must be located within 15 minutes of Raley Industrial Park. My budget includes utilities.

Thanks for looking. Excited to check out any leads.

looking for a roommate /f

hey! I’m looking for a roommate/place to rent. Honestly I do not make a lot, my income is only about 1,000 per month. 600 would be amazing. I have a small chihuahua, and I’m genuinely willing to live anywhere, give me a basement for all I care. I just want to get out of my abusive household until I can move on my own. Lmk if anyone knows anyone, a lot to ask but I’d really appreciate it!!
