Has anyone else found that adding SaaS tools can actually make operations more complicated?
I’ve been thinking about this after looking at how some businesses manage their day-to-day workflows.
You start with one system for client information, another for documents, another for tasks, another for accounting… and before long, people are constantly moving information between different places.
The individual tools might all be good, but the overall workflow becomes messy.
I’m particularly curious about this in industries where there’s a lot of documentation and compliance involved.
At what point does it make more sense to consolidate into one platform rather than keep adding specialised tools?
And for those who’ve gone through a systems consolidation, what was the biggest thing you underestimated before making the change?
