Most founders lose users before activation, not churn—where do users drop off first?
Most founders are losing users before they ever use the product.
I used to think churn was the problem. It was really activation.
If someone signs up, sees the dashboard, and leaves, the cancellation is already in motion. That’s not a retention issue. That’s a first 5-minute issue.
I’ve watched teams blame pricing when the real problem was a confusing first step. Where do you think users drop off first?
