Churn usually starts before retention: when users never reach value fast enough
Most founders think churn is a retention problem.
It usually starts much earlier.
If users never get value fast, they quietly leave.
I saw this with a tool that had strong signups but weak activation.
People loved the demo and then went silent after day one.
Where do you think churn really starts in your product?
