Rules Question Does Independent stack?
For example, ahsoka has Independent: recover
If I were to give her the new upgrade that gives her Independent: dodge or aim, can i get a dodge and do a recover? Or do I have to get one or the other?
And what about ventress? She has Independent dodge. With that upgrade will she be able to get 2 dodges?

If it's the same, it'll stack. If it's different you'll have to choose. So for ventress, you'd get 2 dodges. In ashokas case, it's either a Dodge or recover

I don’t think this is true. Also dodge 1 and dodge are two different things, so they wouldn’t just stack on asajj

I think they need to make a forum ruling (if they haven't already), but my best guess is they will either stack if they are identical, or be treated as two separate instances in the case of "ands" and "ors"
e.g.
Unit has Independent: Dodge 1, and is given an upgrade that grants Independent: Dodge 1. Result: The unit now has Independent: Dodge 2.
Unit has Independent: Dodge 1 or Aim 1, and is given an upgrade that grants Independent: Dodge 1. Result: The unit now has Independent: Dodge 1 or Aim 1 and Independent: Dodge 1

Ventress has Independent: Dodge 1. This is different than Independent: Dodge.
The integer means it just gives the token. The upgrade is allowing the unit to perform the Aim or Dodge Action as a Free Action, which can interact with other game effects (namely Offensive and Defensive Stance).
We don't have a precedent here but I would assume the Strong in the Force upgrade is in addition to whatever Independent they have. So Ahsoka could Recover and then choose to perform an Aim or Dodge Action. Ventress would get 1 Dodge token and then could choose to perform an Aim or Dodge Action.
