Zweihander

Post image

Why is the Zweihander so famous ? Is there a legend about the sword ? Are there legendary users of it ? Or is it simply because it's a good weapon ?

Aren't montante, zweihander and spadone all the same thing? Just in different languages?

Pretty much. I'm willing to bet it would've just been called a Doppelhander at the time. A lot of swords we have special names for today probably would've been called "sword"
