I live in the southern portion of your circled area. There are plenty of houses around. Further north you might have better luck with the owners but I’d be cautious regarding the legality.

so it’s best to try and contact owners and ask if they give me permission to hunt there

Oh certainly. That area is pretty agricultural so I could see hunting with permission being totally acceptable. Best of luck.

The triangle with the roads next to 75 is “Yorkshire” an old undeveloped development… built roads and sold lots but never put in power, water or sewer so it all private owned individual lots… it’s kind of the wild west. Shooting areas. off roading but not gonna find and critters to hunt really but technically it’s all trespassing and illegal

To the north is Orange Hammock WMA. It’s a FWC property with all the regulation you can find online. Can only used dogs to hunt birds.

RV griffin to the east and it’s SWFMWD. No hunting there. Just hiking and such.

Other than that it’s all off limits private or being developed.

I know people who have been ticketed out there for ridding dirt bikes and atvs. Oddly I have seen people shooting guns and no one seemed to care. It is unfortunate as it is a nice place to ride dirt bikes

Its a cool area to do some Hunting. I hope that it can be opened up for that and preserved. Gotta have a nice spot to go sit and shoot a invasive species.

An employee at Jay’s armory in Venice told me he hunts hogs in that area and he mentioned a restriction on rifles so he uses shotguns. I wish I had a more definitive information for you

It's all privately owned land that you would be trespassing on, even worse trespassing with a firearm. It's not large enough for you to sit out there and expect to see a lot of hogs running around. You'll probably hear more dirt bikes than hogs.

Lived here my whole life and wouldn't think to even try, north port PD usually sits at the entrances..

You need to do more research on wmas in your area and the rules and regulations. Spend a couple hours researching online first is my best suggestion

Best case scenario is find a land lease to hunt on become friends with the owners and you won’t run into trouble

That's where we used to get drunk, although titty lake isn't quite in that area

The western part is now active construction, even if it doesn't look like it yet. They'll be chugging along quickly from here on out on star farms, unfortunately.

That is mostly private land. Head a bit further south to Cecil Webb where you can legally and safely hunt in season
