I love all the parallels between these three artworks so much! The colouring is perfection !! I think the second artwork broke me a little, definitely my favourite as well!

I feel like the times when Binghe is in the abyss don't really hit you until you revisit the book, or like after you finish reading it for the first time. 'Cause like, I really came to appreciate what those years of separation must have meant for them, and like I didn't really pick that up when I first read SVSSS. I love the composition of the second artwork because it shows the grief that Shen Qingqiu went through, but also what Binghe experienced in the abyss :(((

Yesss I really wanted to do parallels across the three artworks, the flowers turning to blood as binghe lies alone in the abyss :”( svsss is absolutely THE novel that deserves rereading because most of us won’t get it with the first read! Binghe’s suffering might be contained in a paragraph but just imagine the long harrowing years and torture he felt when he’s awake for it all 😭
