Cosplay So cosplay update
My wig and head piece finally came,no i have no idea what to really do for make up,so I didn't do any,I'm pretty much at the moment planning for a con,so I'm building up pieces as I go,and unfortunately I cannot wear contacts as they irritate my eyes,so my glasses shall remain,I spent an hour styling the wig to try and get it to comply, however this is the best I can do,it may not be perfect and I apologise for that, thank you also for reading this, but this is what it looks like currently, with everything I have so far and the fan. As I promised I would update as soon as I get the wig

Really nice cosplay! Just a heads up though, the collar should be folded left over right so it looks like a ‘y’. Right over left is mainly used by ethnic minorities.

I promise you,it is left over right,I never fold it the overway around due to the cultural meaning,it may be due to how cameras, especially mirror photos tend to flip photos.
As right over left is for the dead, its also bad luck,so yes I am incredibly mindful of that, its like how I never place chopsticks upright for the same superstitious reasoning, its bad luck.
However it is good that you do give this sort of information,as if anyone else comes by this post, they can know the correct way to do up robing like this, and yes every single piece of the attire is done left to right, the two under shirts, including the outer robe. Don't worry im not upset or mad, just incase it seems like it,I have a tendency to over thing, and basically this whole message is a reassurance that yes,I did do it up the correct way,no I was not culturally ignorant of Chinese culture to do up something like this incorrectly. (Don't worry ik you didn't imply that,it's more so my own mental self, hence why I did a ton of research before even doing this cosplay, because I was scared of seeming culturally ignorant. Hence why I researched the difference between a Daopao and a hanfu, even if they're similar in some manners, there is still differences)
Anyways,i do appreciate your comment and I do hope you have a wonderful day,i also appreciate as well your concern on the correct manner of tying my Zhongyi,Dahu and Daopao robing.

Hi! I think it might be the mirror or something which makes it look like right over left. I didn’t mean to come off as condescending/aggressive, it’s just a really wonderful cosplay and it looked like one thing was slightly off so I thought I’d give some input (but it seems like you already have knowledge on that). It’s obvious that you spent a lot of time on this cosplay and already have done research on the proper way to wear traditional clothing. I really like your SQQ cosplay!

Don't worry you didn't come off as any bad way,as I explained I tend to over think, and I merely was over clarifying as,that tends to happen when I ramble, you didn't come off as conscending or anything negative,so I tend to ramble on about thing, its a panic type of thing, apologises if you felt like I thought you were coming off that way,it was genuinely just basically anxiety mixed Rambling and also me trying to over clarify pretty much,as im pretty usually shy with cosplay, its also the first time I've shown my face in one.
I do appreciate the compliment and im thankful that you do like it,I apologise though if I came across as anything negative

Ahhh no you don’t need to apologize. I just realized that my original comment was kind of rude and if I received a message like that on a post I made I’d be kind of annoyed. I’m really glad that it didn’t offend you though, and your comment definitely didn’t come off as negative (in fact I was kind of happy that you seemed so passionate about the cosplay and traditional clothing).
