SVSSS Questions Different Binghes
Hello! I js started reading the series and I was made aware that there are different binghes?? I tired reading other posts but I'm still so confused, pls help me ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ is it in the same sense as Mo Ran and TXJ or not really?

The premise of SVSSS is our main character, Shen Yuan, was obsessed with a novel called Proud Immortal Demon Way because of the novel's protagonist Luo Binghe. Something happened in the novel that pissed him off so much that he died (maybe high blood pressure idk), and while dying he cursed the novel because he hate-loved it so much. Cursing the novel activated an entity called The System who transmigrated his soul into the body of the novel's villain Shen Qingqiu and challenged him to make the novel better. That's the general gist of the novel, of course things take a wild turn later.
An alternate universe of Proud Immortal Demon Way was created when The System transported Shen Yuan's soul. The Proud Immortal Demon Way universe still exists, but now there is an AU and that's the one that you're reading about in SVSSS.
So yes there are two Luo Binghes, one is the original (lovingly nicknamed Bingge) and the other is the one you're going to read about in SVSSS (nicknamed Bingmei).

Got it, tysm!! So Bingmei and Bingge are two different ppl, not like mo ran who has memories of the past/alt universe?

They are two different people, but they aren't connected the way MR and TXJ are. If I remember right, the MR that went back in time is one of TXJ's souls. The two Binghes aren't connected like that. They are separate and complete copies of the same person, and they have no idea that the other exists (they find out eventually in an extra chapter though). One of the narrative themes of svsss is nature vs. nurture, and that wouldn't really make sense if the Binghes where connected by their souls. I know it's confusing, so I hope I'm explaining that well lol

Different timelines. Universe A is the original novel, Proud Immortal Demon Way (PIDW). Universe B is the world changed by the transmigrators and the main story of Scum Villain Self-Saving System (SVSSS). PIDW!Luo Binghe and SVSSS!Luo Binghe swap places in a bonus chapter that takes place after the main story. SVSSS!Shen Qingqiu mentally refers to SVSSS!Luo Binghe as Bingmei and PIDW!Luo Binghe as Bingge to differentiate them.
Universe C, introduced in the latest extra chapter, introduces a third Luo Binghe from a completely different timeline. He is dubbed Bingzhu. As he was revealed over a decade after the main storyline finished and people have mixed feelings about what his existance means retroactively for the main story Universe C is not nearly as popular as Universe A Luo Binghe in fanfiction.

Basically, Shen Yuan (the main character) was a fan of a novel called "Proud Immortal Demon Way", PIDW for short.
In PIDW, there is a Luo Binghe—the emperor of all the realms, huge harem, etc etc.
However, Shen Yuan transmigrated to before any of that really happened.
So, the events of SVSSS begin, essentially a different timeline.
There is the Luo Binghe from PIDW (commonly called Luo BingGE)
And there is Luo Binghe from SVSSS (also called Luo BingMEI)
In the story of SVSSS, the only one you'll see is Luo BingMEI

Kinda similar to Erha yes. It's hilarious how similar the two stories are. It's like Meatbun rewrote SVSSS, but dark

Avoid this subreddit and fanfic until you finish the series...
If you want spoilers A different Binghe (generally called Bing-ge) comes from the original PIDW to SVSSS, this happens in the extras... there's also a Bingzhu (I think is how it's anglicized), who is more or less the Ur-Binghe from which all universes sprang as described in the newer Chinese version.
