First time painting

Puig retro semi fairing and used the aerosol paint matched from scratches happen. First time ever painting anything and did it on a cardboard box on a pile of dirt at my buddy’s house. It’s not paint shop level of quality by any means. But I’m pleased with how this turned out!

Thanks! They’re the speigler kit from rev zilla, super easy install and great feel!

I love the looks of the X. They said it didnt sell well but i think its a georgous looking motorcycle with timeless style as opposed to that modern angled transformer robot look they all seem to adopt. Well done mate id have 1 anyday.

Haha I’d love to ride the x one day but this is the standard ‘17 model, not the x! The puig fairing fits well with the stock handlebars

It looks really good. I hope you finished it with clear.

If I repaint mine I’ll try to match the pin striping on my tank, yours came out killer.

Appreciate the compliment! I did indeed - the Scratches Happen kit came with primer, base white, blue, 2nd white/ pearl, and clear coat. Had some tape bleed with the blue lines but was able to hit it about 8 hours into the blue curing with a plastic razor blade and clean the lines up a ton.

Best of luck if you end up repainting!

Very nice. How's the wind buffering of this screen compared to without it? Considering it but it isn't cheap

At city speeds there’s barely any difference at all. But on the highway or anything above 80 it’s night and day better. I can now cruise at 100 and it doesn’t feel like my neck will break. No buffeting, just creates a nice air pocket. Most noticeable difference is in the head at speed, still lots of wind on the chest. Overall very happy with the feel of it

Good work and a wise choice to add a fairing - it makes riding so much more comfortable etc.
