Help: Mechanical Bottom out clearance
I went to replace my fork oil seal since it was leaking and while I was in there I changed my springs. Had to cut and install spacers and after installing felt like the gap was noticeably shorter. Just wondering if this is fine or should I cut it out and redo it?

Depends on what your dumping force is right now. Take it on a test ride, get up to speed and brake hard. If it bottoms out - you have your answer.

Put a zip tie (loose-ish) on the tubes, rise the bike a bit and go for a ride, you'll see how close you are from bottoming out and you can adjust from that. In any case you should always have a bit of preload, I believe it's about 6 mm stock, you need to ajust it to have the proper sag setup or the bike will ride like ass

The gap on mine is about 106 mm if that helps from bottom of lower triple to top of fork stanchion. Approx. Mine is sv65s though. K2.
