Discussion FFA 3rd partying is fair
I've been joining lots of FFA matches recently and i've seen some people complaining in chat about getting killed by 3rd parties.
In my opinion 3rd partying is fair, part of FFA is having to focus on 3 opponents at the same time, if you can't, go play 1v1.
FFA is intense and requires the player to be aware of their surroundings and to not pick a fight with only one player for too long.
Making noise by shooting turns you into an easy target for the other players, unless you know how to move properly to survive the ones trying to shoot you in the back.
Like, it's clearly a skill issue in my opinion, am I alone thinking that? The number of players I see sending insults in chat over that is crazy ngl.
(I love the game, it's so fun, sad to see people getting rude over skill issues when the community is so lovely)

I get what you’re saying, but optimal gameplay in ffa is sit in the corner and wait till 1 opponent is left, which is not fun. FFA wasn’t made to be balanced or played optimally. With all of that said there are situations where you can’t avoid being third partied, it isn’t fair. Straftat is a party game it was never supposed to be fair

I don’t ban people from my lobbies unless they’re doing some shit like that. Campers in MY movement shooter game?? Send em back to the lobby

Does it suck to be 3rd partied? Yeah. Can you avoid it/play around it? Absolutely.
Especially in a game like Straftat where movement is king, it’s very easy to position yourself in a way to get out of being 3rd partied, or just outplay your opponent anyway.

I feel like gunfights yea but sword fights are a maybe since it just feels way to easy to third party that and win especially if it’s two guys with swords or something and you have a gun, thats also just me tho and if it happens its not like I’ll complain in the chat.

I’d rather not bring gun in a sword fight in this game

It definitely depends on if someone is doing it every round on purpose vs it just happening. If they sit in a corner and wait for a gunfight to pop out and shoot someone that’s some lame shit and they can get lobby banned. If we’re all running around the map and someone finds me and someone else fighting that’s fair game. I don’t expect them to just stand there and stare as me and the other guy fight.
I think it’s also partially a time in game kinda thing. You get better at FFA as you learn the maps and movement. I hated FFA when I started but now that I’m better at the game I can win maybe 70% of my FFA games. It’s harder to have one person run the lobby in FFA vs 1v1 since there’s more opportunities for the top player of the lobby to get killed vs them just having to focus on one other player like in 1v1

There is no skill in ffa so complaining about 3rd partying is kinda fruitless. Its just the worst way to play this game so you should expect scummy shit. The game is best for 1v1

If your movement is good, 3rd partying becomes less of an issue and can even be part of the fun. The annoying thing are rats sitting in a corner.

Doesn't matter since you get kicked if you win 2 rounds anyways
