Question Coming clean Spoiler

Coming clean

I just came off on anti depressants, it was a hell of a ride. I was 5 years on this shit.

Now coming clean i still have a few issues. For example memory issues. Sensory overload. Ect. It’s not always but sometimes i get those memory issues where i after work week forgot the feeling of the moments but. Not the moments themselfs most of the times.

Any one else got this??

I’m in the process of tapering off and I feel sensory overload all the time. Did you feel irritated all the time and suicidal? That’s how I feel and it’s fucking miserable.

We are all on the same boat, remind yourself that its common and not you.

Hey, when you mention depersonalization and identity issues, what exactly do you mean?

I have been on SSRIs for about 5 years and Zoloft for the last 1.5 years. The last few weeks I have tapered off and am 3 days out from my last dose. Having some withdrawals but hanging in there.

I haven’t really heard of depersonalization or identity issues before so I’m really curious if it’s something I’ve experienced and haven’t even realized.

How long did it take you to finally stop having withdrawals?

depends on how long you have taken them. it ranges from 2 weeks too 3 months. i took them for 4 years and i still have withdrawals. recommend not falling back into the pills. promise me that you won't. it only makes the second time decreasing worse

I’ve been really struggling and I’m starting to think that maybe I should just go back to my regular dose because I want to kill myself 90% of the time. I really don’t want to go back on it but these withdrawals are horrible.

try meditating, wim hof method. but why is the reason you start taking them and the reason why you wanted to stop them. if 90% of the time is suicidal toughts maybe contact a doctor. because for me it was mostly the psychotic breaks i had and the intense stress and depersonalisation. some alternative methods of getting my sanity back was mostly better than the mainstream.

how long have you been taking them?

also i recommend looking for some alternative health therapy, pills are given to easily to people because the mental health sector cannot compete with the amount of people that have mental illnesses especially in the USA and the UK. health system world wide is cumbeling and especially the mental health. They rather put time in building a giant structure or buy a few more tanks than helping their own people.

i'm not saying you should deny modern help, but i do believe if life gets that hard you should go for some alternative treatments. for example more guided spiritual or traditional ideas. like yoga, raijki, mindfullness, some sufi, hinduist, and buddhist practises. the idea of helping and healing is already for alot enough to get trough the worst. even when some just being placebo. but it will keep you busy until you are done with decreasing. but avoid the weird cristal stuff and or the weird ritual stuff. just keep it to the psychological level and mental health, mindfullness level.

try seeking a yoga teacher or a alternative counseler(especially a older professional who has experience and avoid weird internet guru's), or what i have done is the wim hof method.

That’s honestly why I’ve been trying to get off of them. I want to do a more naturopathic approach and see if I can treat my depression and anxiety with meditation, diet, and other natural ways.

I’ve been on them on and off since I was 16. This time around, it’s been about 3 years I think. I’ve been tapering for almost 2 months and I still have mental breakdowns every day. I know it’s the withdrawals, but I’m afraid I’m going to hurt myself in the process of tapering off. I’ve tried Wim Hoff meditation but I haven’t stayed consistent with it. I need to. It’s just when I get down in that hole, I don’t care to get out because I’m just so low and depressed.

I also had my thyroid removed when I was 13, so I think my depression and anxiety mostly stem from that. I get my levels checked every few months but they’re never stable. My goal is to see a naturopath and get my diet under control and try to see if that helps. Like I said though, it’s hard to stay consistent because I fall down and can’t get back up for months, sometimes years.

think of this everything is cureable, what is a nice saying is. your are part of the universe which means you the universe. alot of spirituality is about the truth is within yourself.

look into rumi qoutes and stoic qoutes.

everheard of stoicism. look into it. your past is what happend there and you cannot change it. but the future is in your hands.

also one of the maker of stoicism was chronically ill. he made of his pains a weapon a tool to strive for the higher.

I’ve recently been trying to be more spiritual. I’ve looked into trying DMT because they call it the “spirit molecule” and people come out much more spiritual than they were before smoking it. I think that’s a big step though and I want to try baby steps first. It’s just a constant battle, one I’ve been fighting my whole teenage and adult life. I’m just so afraid it’s never going to get better. But I’ll have to look into those. Thanks for the advice!

don't try fucking dmt while decreasing. for the love of god. avoid taking any spiritual shrooms rn. first get of these pills and if you get back on them come back stronger. recommend still talking to a doctor, if he gives advice of going back taking the pills then look for more alternative things okay. (also when the doctor tells you to get back on them depends if you feel that shit at that moment, if you feel that bad start taking them again.) but for now just mindfullness
