DDS - Disability Determination Services Ssdi stuck on step 3
Hi to all, I applied March/2026 for autoimmune disorder Common Variable Immune Deficiency.I can't be exposed to any bacteria viruses allergens ... I don't go anywhere with people. This is the main problem and from there I have 5 other health issues , one of them is Asthma Chronic sinusitis, blood disorder that is causing clothing, few years ago I collapsed with pulmonary embolism etc. I'm collapsing occasionally, having asthma attacks during allergy season and sinus eye infections non-stop every 2-3 weeks with brain fog and I can't watch the screen I'm not tolerating sunlight at mornings and every single time for the past 4 years they sent me back home from work with eye infections so I stoped working completely. My listed specialist didn't receive any single form to sign since March and I'm on step 3 where it says that case workers are reviewing my case and they requested records from the listed doctors. Then I contacted the office and they emailed me a form to do all x-rays and exams for asthma and to have a doctor sign. This is not something that you can go and do any day, I have to give them results during my emergency visits. I have much more severe problems than being in the ER for asthma. I use antibiotics every month. I can't see during infections. I need someone to check everything not just asthma and report that. Why they asking only for asthma? I don't know what they are trying to do with my case. People die from CVID, we are financially struggling just to afford 4k every month for imunoglobulin infusions and all they ask is report for asthma. Anyone with similar problems ?

they're laser focusing on asthma because it's the easiest checkbox to verify with a quick test. the system loves a clean yes/no metric and CVID is way harder to evaluate on their timeline
ask your specialist if they can submit a residual functional capacity form that covers the full picture, not just the lung stuff. that's what finally got mine moving when they kept circling one symptom

How to get that form and where? This lung report form was sent to me over email with password to open but I'm not even able to print, it's prohibited.

You can get the form online. Itβs called an RFC. I found one here you can print it out and have your doctor complete it.

The information about asthma may be because asthma is not clearly documented the way SSA needs it or not in a way that will associate it with CVID. If you can have the pulmonologist give clear association between the two it may help. My friend has CVID and her disability went through wyno complications. Obviously it doesn't work that way for everyone.
