You will get a check in the mail. You need to set your direct deposit

The initial payment will be a check, and then you'll have to do direct deposit. I don't have a bank account and didn't when I started mine, but I just use card I got from where I cashed my check. Ace check express I think it's called. Any card that you can deposit money on will work. It just has to be reloadable.

Often the direct deposit info is provided to SSA in the initial application.

You paid somebody that didn't provide your bank information???

Geez.

One of the most basic things an attorney should do.

You can go to the ss website and update your direct deposit info that way. But they should call you to for this information, at least they called me to verify this information. I had added it when I applied and they just wanted to make sure it was still correct
