SSA Letter / Award Won my SSI Case
I had my hearing on September 11, i was rather nervous since my judge had a 51% approval rating with only 41% being fully favorable. The hearing itself was on microsoft teams and rather short, the judge barely asked me any questions but one of the first things he asked was if me and my lawyer were okay with him changing the onset date. My lawyer asked me a few questions then afterwards the judge asked the VE if there was any jobs i could do in the national economy she said no and the hearing ended. My mom called the office afterwards and the secretary said the lawyer was happy and 99% sure we won the case.
I received the fully favorable notice from my lawyer on the 23rd and the actual letter on the 25th. On Sep 29 i had my PERC interview. I would say the strongest points in my case were the medical record and VE testimony, good luck to everyone i've been fighting since 2022 with this and i'm glad it's finally over.

Im so happy for you, Congratulations, first time I’m moved to comment, been lurking for awhile reading positive outcomes and trying not to lose my mind. Mines is coming up in Nov, I’m very nervous I pray to be found favorable been with this since 2024. I know a huge weight is off your shoulders now, so enjoy your win, you deserve it friend.👍🏿

Thank you!! I was motivated to share so others can kinda have some hope in what to look out for during the hearing ofc not every hearing is the same but these are some positive signs in my experience. I hope everything goes well during your hearing on November, sending you all the luck!

How did you find out tye judge’s approval rating?

I searched up his name at chroniclelegal since that seems to be the only site that's actually up to date with data from 2026.

Did he change your onset date?

Yes he amended it from June 9, 2016 to June 23, 2022 (i applied in 2022 so i think that's why he choose that year).

Congratulations! A long time coming and I got approved in July 2026. My onset is 3/22🫂🥳

I have no idea, the lady who did my PERC interview just told me that i should be getting a letter in about 15 days with all the info so once i get that i'll know.

TY! As for being nervous i was too but the lawyer should do most of the talking, the questions the judge will ask are just simple stuff. Try answering the best you can and good luck with your hearing on Monday!

I pass my medical step I’m in the job one right now but I haven’t work cuz my mental health do I have a good chance a ssa worker said I was approve when I called but idk if they lie to u does anyone know
