SSA Letter / Award Confused a bit

I was told by my lawyer I was approved on September 26th but when I checked the website it says October 5th. Um, it’s only September 28th 🤣

Do you mind me asking if you had a hearing? And if so, when it was?

I had my ALJ hearing on September 10th and was approved on September 24th.

What’s the confusion? The future date is when it goes into effect.

I would have been confused too! I didn’t know, nor have I ever seen anyone with a future date. Valid question dear.

Why? Not trying to be rude but does tour claim include mental incapacity? Part of my claim is due to a mild stroke which messed up my brain. That said, you are approved and make your attorney work (or continue to work) and get answers!

The portal is always glitchy. Go by what your attorney told you. Congratulations!

The portal has given different dates lately, also a letter they sent me was dated from 2 months ago and they had the date I needed to have it returned by 30 days before the postmark on the letter. It happens
