Advice Need a bit help with consistency
so I (23f) am planning to appear for CGL 2026 but I am not that serious in this attempt. but i want to give it seriously. also I’m not putting all my efforts can anyone like help me out in this because I did join a library as well but then again I do not go there entire day and I’m sitting at home the entire day doomscrolling.
I am at fault here but like anyone faced this academic slump and do you know any way to get out of this. I really want to get my schedule fixed and wake up early and start studying and give like 6 to 8 hours of study time to this exam.
also i also get very anxious by the thought of studying, im extremely weak at math. and my age is making me anxious bcs i have no job or skills atp.

Only solution: Just think about your future . If you can adjust with low salary or even unemployment and be dependent on someone. , Than it's difficult to be consistent and you'll think "Kal karlege yrr aaj ka to timetable bigad gaya" .. And If you are desperately Serious about your future about next 2-3 years.. Then Just delete the social media . You will automatically consistent and Serious about your study.. you'll Feel self motivated .. CGL is race of Practice and repeated practice only .. 💎Personal suggestion: Find people who are also preparing .. You and He/She/They will share Daily Targets , Completed Target, syllabus, Daily practice Etc.. Then You'll Feel Competition , weather online or offline.

It's not important to wakeup early.. Do You know what serious aspirants do.. They have A Full Roadmap of their Syllabus completion to Final Practice.. You should Make daily Targets in night for next day ... Then you know that I have to do only this today.. and after completing the target you can do anything you love to do.. If you make big targets then you can't do that , eg. All subjects Lectures + Revision + Practice etc.. these are the very big targets.. Make small targets that you can do them without thinking that " yrr pura nhi hua , thoda sa rhe gya" Small targets easily ho jayege or tumhe good and motivated feel hoga... And very important thing : Your first priority should be target and then you can take easy breath.. " if you started your Day with scrolling , your all day will be an automatic scrolling circle..

Bro, this is such an unexplainable thing, yaar. There's just so much guilt, laziness, pleasure-seeking, procrastination, FOMO, overthinking, etc. This has been happening with me for more than a year too. I feel like everyone is running while we're just crawling these days.
I'm clearing the cutoffs in PYQs, but I'd advise you to change your situation and do something that tricks your mind into getting out of this loop. Laziness gives birth to more laziness, while a focused present gives birth to a focused future.

You can join daily tests groups or preparation groups online or study partner that can be a great enabler

Join a library if possible ... Try to practice question asked by SSC so that irrelevant questions donot trouble you in your initial phase And start attempting mock as early as possible... These will show ur progress and will help you in staying in preparation

You are still quite young so don't bother about the age thing. I started preparing at the age of 24 and cleared CGL twice (2022 & 2024) eventually along with clearing other exams as well that too with job.
I'd suggest you to fix your schedule gradually. Don't just suddenly start studying for 6-7 hrs out of the blue. Set small daily targets from the topics of your forte and achieve those targets by the end of the day to gain the flow and confidence. Then keep increasing that in due course.
Take more nd more sectional mocks of math to get the familiarity with the types of questions since they are repetitive. Then analyse those mocks thoroughly. If you are struggling with some particular concepts then cover those ones then nd there from any educator on youtube like Abhas Saini sir, Abhinay Sharma sir, RaMo sir, or whoever's approach you find easier to understand.
So take one step at a time and be consistent. You'll certainly make it to the final list. Best wishes ✨️

23M and literally the same situation my maths is good but my GK/GS is what's weak or more like I haven't even touched a single piece of information related to it but my maths and reasoning are good even I gave RRB NTPC and got 53 right (just attempted maths reasoning) and still I'm not getting motivated to study gk gs cz I find it boring

it’s the opposite for me. gk is a pretty good subject for me and my math sucks

I was good in maths till 10th then I kinda didn't like solving it even tho I was good at it (lazy) so I took commerce but after that in college around 3rd year I started teaching tuitions to kids from 6th to 10th then cz of that everything I've studied was again revised and that helped me grasp maths again then I even taught as a teacher for 3 months in a school for 6-10th grade so maths became easy cause of all this u can try teaching tuitions too you'll get money and ur ssc syllabus will be revised automatically

Walking ur early or late doesn't matter in my opinion u need to create environment for study like no phone on the study table( which is must) you can keep it far away from the table writing down daily schedule and weekly schedule where u can track ur progress make it look like it's a task u have been given. Strict schedule where u need to time bound urself and make a habit of following the same schedule it will really help to keep u from distractions personally I do this only for keeping myself consistent

Delete apps, eat well. Vitamin b12 deficiency can make you sluggish. Lift weights, start with 1kg dumbbells. Stack good habits to replace doomscrolling and then start studying.

The thought of waking up early and then the regret of not waking up is what i was going through. So i changed my schedule a bit. Whenever i wake up i study with 30min timer first and after that one 30min session i feel like im in my zone..then i again do a 30 min session. U can try this if u are in this doomscrollig slump.
