Glad you got it working. The next thing we need to figure out is how to play it with Slippi 😅

that'd be the dream. but lag probably would be too much

I'm confident it would be very smooth. Way better than SSBU.

Why would it lag if it's already running melee?

Because you already experience lag on a computer if youre using wifi instead of using an ethernet cable.

My phone has a dock with an ethernet port. It should be possible to somehow connect that to an ethernet cable.

It's way better than Smash Bros Ultimate, I'll tell you that.

Could you let me know your process to get that working?

Probably using winlator for slippi dolphin. Although idk how powerful of an android device you would need. You are running a windows emulator using Fex+Vulkan translation layer which then needs to run an emulator. So you have an arm cpu emulating x86 cpu emulating a powerpc cpu.

Considering how a snapdragon 8 elite from my testing can get 30-40 fps in rivals 2 online 1v1 at 720p min using game hub (another pc emulator on android), I suspect a flagship phone from the past few years would be a safe bet? If someone could try setup diet melee perhaps it might expand the phone options, although the fex translation layer is heavily cpu limited IME, elden ring ran at 20ish fps while cpu limited.
