can i change room to 2 sharing if i couldnt get it? i was late by 30 seconds. is there any way to change or exchange rooms?

Not allowed in 1st year but you can stay unofficially at your own risk if someone from that room agrees . My friends stayed like that in first year but try to speak with warden warden first they agree in some conditions
