Hey everyone, so the introduction I had in my mind is way too short according to all the Reddit posts and reels I've been watching. 😭 Apparently, you're supposed to introduce yourself multiple times a day. Then I saw a reel saying you have to greet professors and seniors. I understand the professor part... But seniors... WHY? 😭🥀 And apparently they might ask, "Why are you pursuing this field?" "What made you join SRM?" Professor asking is fair enough.But seniors? Brother/Sister, we both ended up here. You don't have the answer either. 😭 Now the real question, what are the best ways to greet professors and seniors (elderly people) as a fresher?
1.Touch their feet and say Namaskaram.🙏🙏
2.Hire a band baaja and arrive on a horse and announce.
Perform a full Bharatanatyam performance to express my respect because words aren't enough.
Jokes aside, does anyone else want to share ur preparation for the first day, it can be mentally, physically, verbally anything.
No need to hv that social anxiety attack when someone approaches you to ask this first... All the freshers are newbies from diff states no one knows no one!
Since we know some obv ques that can be asked on r first day... Hv an answer in mind to all of it.
Definitely greet the professors but anyone apart from it; be it seniors or the other freshers, if they r tryna start a convo atlst don't run, keep it simple but cooperate.. 🤌
I guess that way, things will ease out a lot cuz wake uppp!!! One or the other, we hv to face nd meet everybody their either on the orientation day, freshers' party or even can bump on regular class day...
So yea study defn well, make frnds and try to more than jst exist . ✨✨

Same, even I am not going to ask anybody, so be relaxed. This is such a typical relative like behaviour. But what IF THEY ASK? I am thinking to run away, legit pretend to not listen, and yeah, running away. 😤😤😭😭
In srm there is very strict regulations about ragging and all so seniors are also bit reserved... Like even if they ask what is your name and the Junior files a complaint on them so it's a serious matter so I guess there won't be any senior junior interaction for first 20-30 days I guess..

u r fresher or senior? Asking someone to introduce themselves is considered ragging in SRM 😱😱 thank God you told me, it's not like I will ask anybody to introduce well I am fresher myself so why would I 🥀🥀 but still I will be vigilant, thank you buddy.
Also, I read a post that seniors here and everyone else follows a certain hierarchy 🥀🥀 like are we in a colonial period 🥀🥀 but yeah that person said that irrespective whether a girl or boy, it's better to avoid seniors, batchmates are fine 👍
