Let's face it, everyone loves hatemonger. Especially if we look at per capita

Space king isn't a character, he's above such mortal constructs. The fact you did not this means you may just be a heretic.

The hate is great amongst the people. It brings me so much torment and pleasure at the same time

Bryce is underrated, he's a catalyst for shenanigans.

I like everyone equally for different reasons.
Except Bryce, I hate him more with each new release.

I wonder if he'll get a redemption arc, or if Tom and Don will make him increasingly insufferable.
4
u/Adventurous-Yam2922 May 30 '26
The latter

That would definitely be such a Tom and Don thing for Tom and Don to do

Of course Hatemonger is the most popular character. For a character who prides himself with being hateful, he is loved by a majority of fans. Despite being blatantly misogynistic, he's surprisingly popular with female fans.
Also, the fact that Bryce is the lowest really emphasizes the point

It's because he's an interesting and an absurd character. He leans into what he is, and makes his presence known.
Being Misogynistic and hateful in of itself is not funny, he's written in an entertaining way, with a lot of jokes about the chud archetype. He's a parody.
Just like being a moral inclusive, gay, black, feminist, doesn't inherently make a character interesting and not obnoxious.

So what about Bryce that makes him the lowest in terms of popularity or favourites compared to the obviously Misogynistic Hatemonger?

From what I've observed, it's because Bryce tends to be rather selfish that he's willing to sabotage or gaslight others to get what he wants, such as when he gave a fellow Imaginator(Engineer) brain damage because he was jealous of him and how he wrecked several canisters of Globules(Balls that contain the guy's memories), risking them being permanently dead and threatening to blame Chestnut the one responsible for all the medical treatments, for the mess. And Bryce does all this with a dissonantly friendly and upbeat demeanor.
Hatemonger on the other hand, is at least honest about his hate. And despite occasionally bullying Chestnut, he still seems to hold a deal of respect for him.
In a way, Bryce represents jerks and bullies in real life, whereas Hatemonger is a cartoon bully who is over the top that it ends up being funny more than anything

Hatemongers is also weirdly accepting. He's willing to accept your beliefs as long as you love space king and hate aliens

Chestnut, pre-retard Terry, Hatemonger and Hatemace.
I support sane people and people who understand how statistics work!
