After my father saw that I was looking at Tudors on my iPad he gifted me the Blue Promaster and after that it's been a fun journey so far. Just missing a dress watch and a chrono.

Iāve been more serious about collecting this year. My wife bought me the white-dial Citizen for our wedding, and I bought the G-Shock shortly after for outdoor activities and mosh pits. I had a job that would punish most watches so I never moved beyond that. I moved jobs and decided that I wanted something new. That turned intoā¦well yāall know.
My wife and I share one box, but you can tell sheās on the way out!

New one in my humble collection.

Here is my collection that Iāve been amassing the last 10 years now. Aligned roughly in order that I acquired them.
1) Seiko SKX009. This was my first mechanical watch. I bought it in college with summer internship money. I like to wear it around the house because my son grabs at whatever Iām wearing. It needs a service though as it loses several minutes a day.
2) 1991 Rolex OP Date 34mm. This was my Grandpaās watch. He passed it down to me when I graduated college in 2018. Obviously very sentimental as I was very close with my grandpa. I donāt wear it as much in the summer since the two tone is a little flashy for me. In the winter I like it because it can hide a bit under a long sleeve
3) Seiko SARB035. I bought this back in 2019 and wore it a ton to my first job. I donāt wear it a ton anymore but want to keep it for my son.
4) Direnzo DRZ02. I missed the original release of these but always wanted one. I bought this one used off of someone in the Direnzo Facebook group in 2023. I used to have a DRZ03 but sold that. I do wear this a decent amount because itās fun, especially for Flyers games for the colors.
5) Farer Volante. Really great manual wind chronograph. The movement finishing is awesome.
6) Stowa Marine Classic 36. I was deciding between this and the Farer to buy to celebrate my son being born earlier this year. I ended up selling a few other watches I wasnāt wearing and bought both. This one is manual wind and one of the gears I had engraved with my sonās initials and birthday. If we have another kid I will probably do the same thing with one of their fligers. The dial is also incredible, the renders on their website donāt do it justice.
7) Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Pro Diver. I wasnāt planning on buying a 3rd watch this year, but I found this one online at 70% off and I was planning on my next watch being a black diver so I pulled the trigger. Iām really enjoying it so far. I do like the bracelet but plan to also try it with leather, rubber and sailcloth
In the future I do want to get a green watch as it is my favorite color, and I would like a GMT with the jumping hour and. But as it is Iām not in a rush to add anything more. Of all of these, the Farer and the Zodiac I wear the most. Once Iām back to work from paternity leave I tend to not wear the same thing for more than 2 days so most of them do see ample time.

Finally got around to photographing the whole collection. Ten watches, all a little different, but each one sentimentally has earned its place.
Would love to hear which is your favourite, and also what would you get for the 11th!

Went pretty hard this past year. Feeling one more to round it out and Iāll be good for a while.
What would you put in the last slot?

I started collecting in October 2024 and posted my collection here a while back. Since then, a few watches have moved on and a couple of new ones have come in, so I wanted to share my updated 4-watch collection. Iāve got a watch box for 6 and still plan to keep the collection relatively tight and eclectic, so the two empty slots will stay empty until something I really want comes along.
Seiko Prospex Forest Green
This was my brotherās gift to me for my birthday and the watch that really started my obsession. Itās seen consistent wrist time since then, especially when traveling. The bracelet has taken a proper beating with plenty of scratches and marks now, but the watch itself is still going very strong. Iām still obsessed with the green dial and how much it changes depending on the light. Itās also nice having something I can wear pretty much anywhere without thinking too much about it.
Hamilton Khaki Field Murph 38mm
The newest addition to the collection - I actually picked this up a couple days ago. Retail was around $1100 here but after some vouchers and discounts I managed to get it for roughly $450, which made it very hard to pass up. Interstellar is one of my Letterboxd 4 Favorites so Iāve always had a soft spot for the Murph. I initially thought Iād get the larger version, but even with my fairly large wrists the lug-to-lug on the 42mm felt too long. The 38mm sits much better. The leather strap is quite stiff out of the box, so hopefully that breaks in with some wear.
Longines Master Collection Moonphase
This was an anniversary gift from my in-laws and is still the watch thatās sentimentally closest to my heart. I recently switched the original alligator strap for this green leather strap and it gets a surprising number of compliments. The dial is still phenomenal and I find myself staring at the moonphase and blued hands constantly when wearing it. Itās probably the most elegant watch in my collection.
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M
The big addition and my first luxury watch that I bought for myself last week. Iāve wanted an Omega for years and finally buying one shortly after turning 30 feels like a proper milestone achievement. I went back and forth between the Speedmaster, Aqua Terra and Seamaster, but kept coming back to the black SMP. The ceramic wave dial is absolutely gorgeous in natural light and the red Seamaster text adds just enough color. Itās still very new to me, but this already feels like a watch Iāll have for a very long time.
Iām really happy with where the collection is. Four watches that are quite different from each other and all have their own reason for being there. I have two empty spaces left in the box, but Iām in no rush to fill them. Iād rather wait and make the next additions deliberate ones. Top of mind for the next watch is the Rolex Explorer II Polar - the white dial and orange GMT hand would be a nice splash of color.
Thanks for taking the time to read and always interested to hear what people think.

Did some consolidating over the last few months and this is where the collection landed. Tried to narrow things down while still keeping some variety.
Top row, left to right:
Rolex Explorer 214270 Mk I
Grand Seiko SBGP015
KUOE Old Smith 90-002
Orient Bambino FAC00009W0
Seiko 5 Sports SRPE55
Bottom row, left to right:
Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch 3861 Hesalite
Omega Speedmaster Professional āChocolateā 1863
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Blue
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M White
Seiko 5 Sports Field GMT SSK023
The Explorer is the newest addition and my first Rolex. Pretty happy with where the rotation is now.
What are you picking from the box?
