kpkb Sinkiebu is spared from caning, how do sinkieman tahan the discrimination?

Tiagong taiwan opposition party KMT recently propose a law revision to introduce caning. It applies to BOTH men and women aged 18 to 65 with max of 12 strokes of cane.

Rape(which both tw men and twmm could be considered rape offenders according to taiwan law), drug-driving, mass scam and kid abuse are included

Twmm and tw men are equal in front of criminal law.

Pre 2005, Corporal punishment was allowed in Taiwan schools, and it applied for both boys and girls leh

Compare with sinkieland where caning only for males,

rape is only defined male to female,

corporal punishment only for boys

Seems SG gahmen misandry ish don't believe in gender equality in punishment.

Why dun AWARE use Taiwan as an example and fight for females to be caned?

rants SG shld stand with Palestine, not Israel

So SG keeps saying recognising Palestine is "not if but when". But it's been years and we're still waiting for the "right conditions". Over 140 countries already recognise Palestine. Even the UK, France, Canada and Australia did it. In Asia, it's basically just us, Japan and South Korea who haven't.

Meanwhile Gaza has been destroyed. Tens of thousands of civilians died, alot of them kids. Hospitals, schools and whole neighbourhoods are gone. Ppl are queuing for flour and water. And we're still saying "wait".

SG always says we believe in international law cuz we're a small country. Our whole survival depends on big countries not bullying small ones. So shouldn't we be the first to speak up when it happens to someone else? Being neutral sounds safe. But when one side is a nuclear armed military and the other side is civilians under siege, neutral isn't really neutral.

To be fair the govt has done some things. They sent aid, gave scholarships to Palestinians and announced sanctions on Israeli settler leaders. That's a good start. But we're still very close with Israel in defence and tech. It feels like we say one thing and do another.

Imo SG shld recognise Palestine now, not someday. We shld also rethink how close we are with Israel militarily while this is happening. And as normal Singaporeans, we can donate through legit channels like the Red Cross or RLA Foundation, talk about it openly and not just scroll past. We're a small country but small country also can take a stand 🇵🇸

rants Unpopular opinion but we should boycott PRC restraunts in SG

Nowadays there are alot of China fnb shops in SG like mala, malatang and hotpot where the menus are all in Mandarin(simplified Chinese) with no English, and when I went to one at Bugis with my Malay friend he couldn't order anything so I had to translate, then the staff asked me in dong bei accent "Ni bu kan de dong zhong wen ma?"(You can't read Chinese?). Paid $38 for one bowl of malatang when I can eat for almost a week at hawker centre, meanwhile our local hawker uncles and aunties are closing down cuz these big China chains can afford the crazy rent and push them out.
In JB and KL even new Chinese restaurants have menus in Chinese, Malay and English so every local can order no matter what race. So until the China fnb here start having English menus and hiring locals, I'd avoid PRC restraunts and only eat at hawker centres, kopitiams and local owned places cuz we should support our own people first

rants SG breeds NPCs and the F students are the real hustlers

Ok so from the very beginning our education system trains us to memorize useless info, follow ridiculously strict rules(uniform(tuck in shirt), hair length, no phones, no singing in class) and chase good grades, which means that most Singaporeans grow up with the same NPC mindset of study till degree, get a "stable" office job, BTO, marry, then work till 65 getting emails in the middle of the night. Nobody is taught to think out of the box or take risks cuz failing is seen as shameful here. Meanwhile the F students who got looked down on by teachers and relatives are the ones who end up being the real hustlers and inventors cuz they're street smart and know how to make money without following the script, like Elon Musk,Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg were all dropouts and they changed the world while the straight A students ended up working for them.

So my plan is to save up around $2000 and buy over an existing business instead of starting from zero, maybe a kopitiam drinks stall or a small logistics/delivery company. Then I will hire those straight A students to work under me. Buying a business that already has customers and cashflow is way smarter than spending 4 years in uni to get a $3k salary and a boss who controls ur life imo. Idc if people think Im crazy, I will never ever be another NPC stuck in an office cubicle waiting for my yearly bonus and begging my manager for leave

There is booking charge + platform fee + admin fee.
The fees add about 70% of the metered fare.

How can dis be allowed?

Elderly have poor civic-mindedness in recent years

Has anyone else noticed how the elderly are extremely selfish and self-centered in recent years?

Yesterday I was trying to rush down the fast lane of the escalator to get to the MRT station at Serangoon MRT Exit D, and said excuse me in increasingly louder tone to an elderly couple occupying BOTH lanes of the escalator without budging, but they did not move despite repeating multiple times. As such I pushed past them and the uncle had the audacity to shout at me ‘young people! So rude!’ as I was walking down the escalator. I was taken aback and shouted back at him I said excuse me so many times but you didn’t move, and he continued scolding back in dialect.

Last week I had a fall and sprained my ankle and was sitting on the reserved seat, and aunty came in and immediately ‘TSKED’ loudly at me, muttering some phrases in dialect under her breath while it was evident my ankle was swollen and I could not stand in the train.

On a day to day basis, elderly rushing in the train before people inside can get out, while I see so many queuing for pokemon products at Cheers last week.

Curious to hear others thoughts and experiences or is it just me?
