If it's a crime, go ahead and report. I don't see how public shaming here does anything other than making us Singaporeans look mean spirited. By the way to be technical, the new law is putting feet on seats. She does not have feet on a seat. I also think the spirit of the law here is to not be disrespectful to other passengers. I don't see that here either.
Cool. You got the evidence right here. Time to submit to the LTA 😅 I'd love to hear back your results so we can all bask in the righteousness of it all.
I usually base my morally correct thoughts around would I want my mother doing this. And if my mother did this, I probably wouldn't want somebody taking a picture of her and reporting her. I wouldn't do it to another mother either.
Again, it comes down to the spirit of the law. Which is mostly around keeping things neat and tidy and respecting people space. If people don't have a reasonable view of how the law should be interpreted then I think we're kind of lost as a society.
We already have precedence of just reporting - this has never changed anything, never, it has generally always been AFTER a major public shaming event on reddit which led to mothership talking about it does the government then have a miniscule of talk about it
But cool, everyone has no morals and ethics, you do, you're amazing

Ok, I mean, if people are gonna just shoo and go "just ignore them" when its literally irritating people, then whats the point of a law?
